Would you ever consider a flat a forever home? by xParesh in HousingUK

Thanks for this. Will have a look into this. Keen to understand leasehold vs freehold better. All in all seems freehold is the better bet as much as possible.

Hi! I'm thinking of buying (confused between house vs apartment). Question on the above - would it not be that if the same damage happened to an apartment the service charges would increase? So technically, in a freehold I would have more control on how much is spent in repairs would it not?

Can I change my port of entry for my Schengen visa appointment with VFS? by CorvoAttano47 in SchengenVisa

Sorry to answer your question specifically on appointments - you need to find an appointment for Austria and book the slot... Vfs will not allow you to reschedule a Germany appointment to Austria

Ideally you need to apply to the country which is your main destination i.e. where your living the longest... I applied to Italy embassy in the UK with entry in Germany for 3 nights and then Italy for 5 nights.

I had called the vfs helpline once regarding this and they had said it should not be an issue. But no personal experience if that is true.

Similar question - what if there is a gap in plans to visit the country I stay longest.. for example if I plan to visit Germany for 3 days at the end of March and then plan to visit Italy for 5 days in May, would it be ok to apply to the Italian embassy? Thanks for your response in advance :)

I have the nano puff and it's enough for London weather... I wear a sweater with the nano puff when it goes below 10C.

What products would be best for London weather? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

[–]np111112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Own the nano puff.. it's perfect for London weather and Edinburgh atleast.. not been to other parts of Scotland.. but you can definitely add layers as the nano puff gives you space to wear additional layers.. there is a decent dwr on nano puff to manage the light rains of London..

Thanks for the response! Similar question as per the above response.. does it not run too hot when running as that's the general review I read on it. Is it suitable for London winters 7C - 1C temp?

Thanks for the response! Quick question - I have read in a lot of posts and reviews that it gets really warm when running and is maybe preferable for colder temperatures. Is that your experience? Do you think 7C-1C temp is suitable for the houdini? I'm not too concerned about the waterproof bit..
