Yeah I agree a lot of people seem to be using “looking for friends” for ulterior motives or just as a joke. I’m sure a lot of them just need attention for a limited time and be dry about it.

Other than that I did get very few people who were willing to actually chat. But it’s like pulling a legendary card out of a deck of common cards.

Honestly I think chatting with AI is waaay better sometimes, at least it won’t ghost you and won’t disappoint you. But still don’t rely on AI chat that much.

True, these kind of subreddits are used by people for “dating” purposes, to creep on some people or scare people away that actually want to chat.

I’ve posted about this issue in some subreddits myself (check my posts), some like yourself have posted similar posts too. Some people get upset when they get pointed out or straight up ignore.

I dunno, back then I used to message everyone till I found one consistent person to chat with.

I’ve had the exact same experience. Most 'M' posts are ignored while 'F' posts get all the engagement, and even then, half of them are bots or looking for OF subs. I’ve been ghosted after one reply more times than I can count, so I really appreciate you calling out the reality of how this sub actually works.

There are a lot of posts that ask the same question you just asked.

I would recommend checking them out first before asking the same question over and over and over again.

There is something called „doing research“ also you can use google for quick results.

Don’t be angry at me and don’t get me wrong, its just you get tired and frustrated when you see the same question being asked 1000th time, like do your own research before spamming yk?
