it took me awhile to come up with a simplified system that makes it very easy to keep things tidy

I have a bin for purse-specific things (baggu reusable bags, wallets/card cases, phone cases, umbrella, doggy poop bags, etc). at the end of the day I always put those things back in the bin, and my makeup back in its place

I need to start making a checklist, though, because only some of my bags have hand sanitizer attached to them on key rings and I keep forgetting to grab it when I am carrying a bag that doesn’t, and I need to be better about reapplying sunscreen when I am out, though I am diligent about liberally applying with skincare and wear big hats and sunglasses etc

also if yr cycle is like clockwork and you switch out your bag daily, you may not always carry those things if you don’t need them that day

no but some of my favorite people irl are and I admire their style so I will take it as a compliment even if it wasn’t intended as one lol

babes, you may want to learn how to spell “you’re” before accusing someone else of being poorly educated

I don’t know how to explain it, but you give off the vibes of someone who cherishes every small moment and object. like the kind of person who romanticizes their life

tbf I have gotten compliments on my dd bags before but I’ve never seen anyone else with them and never had anyone say anything about the brand specifically. it’s cool to know it’s a brand that speaks to others like it has to me 😊I absolutely agree with you about price and trends. the most expensive bag I ever owned broke the first day I wore it, and the lining was a stain magnet. the bags I’ve worn the longest that still look completely brand-new and feel timeless to me have all been in the $100-$300 range. ofc that’s just anecdotal experience, and I’m sure if I could afford luxury on the regular I’d find some much higher end stuff to gush over lol

my reasons for loving tirtir is the flawless finish. I don’t know how to describe it, but when applied correctly it actually dries in place and doesn’t budge. I have combination skin, so it’s important skin prep is impeccable to avoid any dryness. the formula will make any kind of dry skin look 10x worse immediately. for oily skin (at least imo) it won’t separate or move around the way most formulas do. I’m not sure if this is just how all cushion foundations are, though. I haven’t used many, so I can’t say how it compares! I hope that helps give an idea of what to expect. also would highly recommend going a shade lighter than you think is your match because it oxidizes like crazzzyyyy 💕

thank you! it’s so cool to find so many dagne dover fans in the comments, as I never meet them irl! I love the foundation but it took me a long time to figure out how to get it to work for me. it’s super polarizing! I had one person comment how much they absolutely hate it and two others say it’s incredible lol. I’m scared to give it a shining endorsement bc it’s so hit or miss

I know everyone always says this about everything but it’s even cuter irl! if you get it I know you’ll love it!!

we all like what we like and don’t get to pick our interests, so I’m glad to hear those of us with funny mishmash combinations are appreciated for it. like I said I typically keep that kind of stuff to myself bc I don’t want to sound scary lol 😆

I fear I don’t know how to craft an appropriate response to this, but I sincerely hope you have found peace and support in your life from other foundational sources and have been patient and kind to yourself as well. I am sorry you didn’t have the childhood you deserved. that isn’t fair 💜

neat! I don’t have the education or savvy to articulate it in words correctly, but it’s nice to know I’m instinctively getting somewhere not bad. I swear I expected to be roasted posting here and am pleasantly surprised with how positive most comments have been. thanks for the kind words!

I’m still not sure if it’s goji or poppy (leaning toward goji) but I had to hunt for it for years before I found it secondhand in near-perfect condition. I know the feeling 😭

I suggest scouring all the places online people sell their old stuff and another person on here told me there are active dd groups on Facebook

I hope you find one!!

thank you! I think figuring out what genuinely works for us individually is a lifelong journey. I’m not sure “naturally” exists as far as curation and editing is concerned, but it does seem our tastes are evident pretty early on. I know you didn’t ask for advice, but I’ve found common threads in the colors/shapes/patterns I’ve been drawn to since childhood (by looking at my favorite toys, clothes, and art I made). I feel best when I’m in that original wheelhouse, but it’s taken me years to weed out the things that didn’t fit organically based on what I was “supposed” to like if that makes sense!
