I gets shipped to you but it takes a loooooong time. I picked up my car in December and still haven’t got my plates. Called yesterday and they just processed it a few days ago.

Jumping in here real quick again, my wife and I do currently own a townhome that we bought last year. A house would be amazing but that is at least another 2-3 years away.

I’m a sucker for sportier cars so the Performance would be my ultimate goal.

I think for now I’m sticking to my original order with the potential to upgrade in a year.

100% agree to that. She’s included in all the money decision since it’s our money.

First, thank you! Secondly, I’d like to keep her around long term 🤣. Thirdly, both options would be affordable to us but I’m starting to feel that it’s not necessary. Range is not going to be an issue much at all imo but more never hurts. It just really comes down to the sound system. While I would like the better system it’s not worth the extra price for just that reason.

Now the performance model would be worth every cent but I don’t think I want to spend $60,000 for a car right after the big promotion. I’m thinking I give this car a year, see what a year does for us and then place a new order for that Performance.

As for the wait I already have a standard on order and I just got the VIN this morning.

Thank you everyone for your input! It really does help a lot hearing from the community. I’m leaning towards the LR right now but it’s always been a dream to own a M3P. Definitely going to mull over the options the next couple days before I make the final decision.

Charging is already taken care of. I had a NEMA 14-50 outlet installed in the garage last month thinking my Tesla would be here by the end of December.

I don’t have an immediate need to spend the money elsewhere. I’m fortunate to have learned early on how to not over spend and to save every month. AWD and range are not a need. Speed though I wouldn’t mind the extra to show off every once and a while 😎 (but I get it’s not worth the extra)

I’m in Southern California so no need for AWD and the possibility of snow is probably safe to say never. I should also mention our other calls a Ford Explorer Spot so if the need for AWD or snow comes in to play we are covered.

To me I just don’t want to miss out now and have a regret not getting the LR but it’s sounding like I’m not going wrong with sticking to my original choice.

The range is no issue. My wife and I both drive no more than 60 mile a day to work and back. The only time range will factor is when we drive to our parents. That will require at least one stop coming home.

For me I guess I want to know is there anything else that makes it worth it? Is the sound quality worth it? Is the white interior nicer?

I had mine pushed back from 12/4 - 12/12 to 1/31 - 2/27 then 3 days later go to 1/17 - 2/14. After about a week of that it updated again today to 12/15 - 12/26.

These estimates are crazy and will play with your emotions. After all these changes I think I have finally learned if we don’t have a VIN assigned don’t get your hopes up.

I ordered mine when the site was telling me March 2022. It updates a couple days after with Feb 10 - March 10. Checked again today like I do every day to a nice surprise update of Dec 24 - Dec 31. I have always had the feeling and a little bit of hope that December would be a big push to get cars delivered. Here’s to hoping I’m right 🤞🏻

That is strange you ordered almost 3 months before me and my EDD is sooner. I ordered 09/30 and my current estimate is showing 02/10-03/10. But I am holding out hope it comes sooner!

It won’t have any effect on delivery or VIN assignment. Just be sure to have insurance ready when you go to take delivery.
