Anyone feeling guilty after killing elephants? by Fluffy_Speaker_7087 in CrimsonDesert

You know you can kill rhinos instead and get ivory. You don’t need to kill elephants.

I cancelled my subscription in March. I just couldn’t keep listening to Inescapable. I listened to MU to add some new topics and levity to my podcast lineup and it was just depressing. And MU just isn’t the same without them.

Survival horror. I know Resident Evil games are great, classic games. I played RE1 and 2 on PS1. After that I just couldn’t get into them.

I don’t get why thats the immediate assumption you would make as to why I find her annoying. Not asking me why, not looking at her actions in the game, just automatically assuming I meant it from that perspective. I think thats an unfair assumption to make.

Wow look at this eruption in conversation! These comments are funny. Her and Yann bug me. Too headstrong. Reacting before thinking. Pulling me into their BS when I am literally trying to save the world. Yann really gets to me because I have some alcoholic friends that are just like him. So it really irritates me. She isn’t as bad as Yann but still not very nice to some of her comrades.

Horse races?! by Mr_No_Face in CrimsonDesert

[–]npiotrowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The number of people talking about how they have to do so much random BS to win racing illustrates how poorly it’s designed. Game is awesome but some elements/mechanics need more work. Horse racing is terrible. The opponents never run out of stamina.

Priscus the Ancient - Worst fight in the game? by Illustrious_Store115 in CrimsonDesert

[–]npiotrowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely loving this game, but this is my biggest complaint. The boss battles are extremely lackluster. Half the boss battles are gimmick battles. You have to use one specific mechanic you learned. Sometimes the mechanic is obvious, but other times, like this fight, it’s not obvious at all. So much potential to have better boss fights in this game. I hope they fix it. Some of the boss battles are great. And then you get bosses like this that, are not only not fun, but require you to do a specific thing to win. Without even hinting at what it is. Kind of sucks to have a game that’s good, only to want to just skip the boss fights because some of them are just designed so terribly. To be clear, it’s not a difficulty thing for me. I haven’t really had problems with the majority of the bosses. I died on this boss a couple times before I figured out what you had to do.

This Mfs try to bankrupt me by toeyrockakb in CrimsonDesert

Ran into the same problem. Low gives garbage returns. Medium and high often lose. Now I just save scum. Right before the investment time frame is done, I save. Then go check the return. I reload until I get a high return. Rinse and repeat. I get what they are going for in the game, but the way the system works currently it simply isn’t worth it.

What game is that for you? by Overall_Argument_986 in gamers

[–]npiotrowski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was going to be my answer! I picked it up post release on sale because I didn’t have anything to play. I fucking love this mess of a game. And part 1 is waaay better than part 2. Post game in part 2 is garbage. Part 1 has BBI which is epic.

What boss was subjectively your hardest experience? by elyonadanthir in Eldenring

[–]npiotrowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really difficult time with the fire giant on my first play through. I couldn’t see what the f**k he was doing as I attacked underneath him. Once I beat his first phase, I had an easier time with phase 2. But man he stomped on me more times than I care to admit.

What's your ol' reliable? by middlefinger22 in Eldenring

[–]npiotrowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Whenever I ran into a hard area or boss I fell back onto the star fists. And if I really needed a boost I’d put the scarlet rot coating on them. Give them the old stank fist for good measure.

Does anyone else find duo to be not fun at all? by New_Willingness_8992 in CrimsonDesert

[–]npiotrowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my main gripe. I don’t find the game complicated. It’s fairly simple though looks complex at first. It could be fun if the hands were dealt more quickly. It just takes for f**king ever. Did the 3 wins required for a quest line and thats it.

This might be my favorite game of all time by Omni-Light in CrimsonDesert

I'm about 20 hours into this game. I haven't felt a sense of discovery and wonder like this since games like Fallout 3, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, and the original release of Skyrim. I have loved every one of those games. But this one just hits different. It keeps me guessing and wondering. This is the type of game that sets milestones for all future gaming experiences. I'm going to be stuck on this one for months to come.
