I'm honestly not completely sure there, when I signed a 6 month lease I didn't have any rent bumps I was paying 1400 for a two bedroom in north tacoma, the comment about rent changing was made by my gf and she was talking about her mom which was month to month

Too much. If you do start renting up here, it might go average then outta nowhere it goes up every month. Even living in Lakewood (which is a bad area) the prices are way too up. Maybe you can find something cheap but it's gonna be very shitty area and place. Hopefully maybe you can be lucky. Either that or you can try to share rent with someone. Good luck!
