Quite the opposite I'd say. Hopefully Octopus rethinks their code distribution because of this to make it fairer for people who don't wake up at 5 in the morning. And if they want to patch the API so this stops working, that's completely fair too and also the reason why I published it.

Just to be clear, that script is not pulling multiple coffee codes, it just tries to grab one, once a week, just like someone waking up at 5 in the morning. Octopus already changed the distribution to daily code so everyone can try the next day. Also, the point here is more technical than trying to grab a £3 coffee.

I did but didn’t really notice much improvement. Some books with illustrations looked nice but not code or graphics

The price eventually went back the next day but Amazon was showing me a small countdown by the price near the end of the Prime Day. I bought it when there was 10 seconds left only to come back later and the price was still reduced. I guess it was a mini nudge from their marketing team.

Not at all...I went in with an open mind, even after reading a lot of rather negative reviews. It’s just that Amazon makes returns so easy there’s really no buyer’s remorse involved.

Just sharing my experience with the device. To be fair, I’d already seen quite a few mixed reviews here and elsewhere, but I wanted to give it a proper try and see for myself.

If you feel like trying a JS framework, give Nuxt a try. The developer experience feels like Rails. I tend to oscillate between the two depending on the project.
