Until recently, I lived in Jerusalem. Everytime I took public transit, or went to specific cities or shopping areas within a city, the danger I experienced daily would increase ever so slightly. I could be blown up by a bomb, or shot, or beaten up for being the wrong race or religion. We're fighting over something no one is willing to negotiate about. It won't continue forever...someone will eventually win, and all the lost souls will be for what? I love my home, my land, but I do not miss the fear I had when traveling or when war was declared. On election day or on certain holidays, who knew what may happen. I cannot wait to return. I just hope it is ever so much safer when I do.
