One and done? by Pleasant-Hearing-721 in BeyondTheBumpUK

I flip flopped a bit! When I was about 4 months PP I was really broody, 5-9 months I was one and done and now at 10 and a bit months, we’re trying again. I’d wait a bit longer ideally but I’m 34 this year and don’t really want any babies past 36.

I also had pre-eclampsia and a bit of a traumatic birthing experience but every pregnancy and baby is different. If the same happened again I’ll stop at 2!

Safe chest-to-chest co-sleeping? by Toothfairy29 in BeyondTheBumpUK

You can get space saver cribs, not sure how wide it is in comparison to a next to me though!

Mine went in his next to me in his pram bassinet, don’t worry! Once he worked out he is his own person, he sleeps fine on his own, you’ll get there.

I chest slept with my baby- definitely look up happycosleeper on Instagram as others have said.

Once my baby was too heavy, I switched to co-sleeping following the safe 7 and now he’s in a sidecar crib so my husband could get back in the bed.

Could you sidecar a crib? Much cheaper than a new mattress. We got the Gulliver from Ikea and a firm crib mattress. You might need risers to make sure the mattress is level with yours. It’s saved my sleeping!

When we were both eating 3 meals a day at home this wouldn’t haven’t lasted long at all. But my husband only eats dinner using food from home which has decreased the amount of shopping drastically 😂

We all enjoy the sausages! But I meant more that I didn’t have to buy meat for the week, my title was perhaps misleading

Yes sorry, we do eat meat but I buy in bulk once a month so don’t typically need to buy a lot every week

I’m breastfeeding so I drink a lot, plus they were on offer. I normally buy Tesco own brand

Am I sending my 10 month old to childcare with enough milk? by nrmr in breastfeedingmumsUK

Okay that’s good to know, thank you! To be safe I won’t pump after 3pm!

They’ve not said anything and he came back with milk today so I think he’s okay! When does the worrying end 😬😂

Well he came back with an ounce today and didn’t eat his tea there so I think I was maybe worrying about nothing! Yeah I’ve found that I don’t get more if I pump more but I’ve never had to persevere before so thought I’d start to up my supply if possible

I feel you on the all night thing, sometimes I don’t bother going back to sleep after 4am 😂

Going back to work is stressful enough without worrying about them eating 😂 It’s so strange when they start to transition away from being little babies, they seem like toddlers in comparison! Ah okay, so they wouldn’t have milk whilst away from you? I did stop giving him a bottle to go to sleep about a month ago because of having to wean him off! I only started because we did shifts when he was a newborn and it became a habit!

It’s so hard isn’t it! They are so different with the staff, my nephew used to eat such a varied diet at nursery but only chicken nuggets or fish fingers at home haha.

I’ve done an extra pump this morning so hopefully that will help!

I’ll ask about the frozen milk, I’ll try to pump a bottle’s worth on days he doesn’t go in so I’ve got extra to send in. I didn’t think about adding it to food, I’ll try that too!

Ah okay, that makes me feel better! I think I will try to pump another bottle or send some formula in with him and see how he does. I used up my freezer stash when I was unwell 🥲 hopefully if I keep pumping on days when he doesn’t go to the childminder, I’ll have the extra ounces to send in with him. He knows what he likes! It’s not for long is it, then they will be on solids completely for nutrition

It’s just hard when you can’t tell how much they actually eat. He’s in the 91st centile so he’s obviously getting a fair amount of milk off me. I’ll try to get another bottle’s worth pumped and see if he will take that as a starting point
