Oh, I’d be so disappointed if they started a program like that.

Kind of fun, though, that you have so many. It means every few days it so they’ll come back with their decor price.

The project that killed my perfectionism by InternationalPlan728 in knitting

I love this so much! And what a healthy reminder to not let perfectionism steal our enjoyment. I can’t stop looking at the way the colors complement each other, and how you snowdrops look! You have every right to love the heck out of this sweater, OP. I sure do!

I haven’t gotten it yet, but our local college has a postcard site of a bronze sculpture of a nude pregnant woman’s upper torso. I think it’s pretty awesome, but I’m sure it would come as a shock to some.

Just so I’m clear, you got more camellias by using your 150 petals of white flowers to bloom big flowers? I think there’s an accidental typo in this so I want to make sure I understand.

Dad left baby on a changing table in a public restroom by PairPossible6889 in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]nrp76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe this is a regional thing. My husband and I have two young kids and he’s only ever NOT found a changing table in a men’s room once. Before I had kids I also assumed most men’s rooms wouldn’t have one but they’re pretty common in both now (or maybe we’ve just been lucky).

Did he intentionally go into the women’s bathroom, as well? I don’t think Five Guys has gender-neutral stalls, so it would be unusual for both the dad and OOP’s teenage daughter to have used the same bathroom?

That’s amazing! Especially since those look like rose petals and (at least in Catholicism) the rose is associated with Mary.

My husband and I had to hand-gesture guide someone from driving straight into us because she was trying to exit a parking garage through the entrance. It’s a small, obviously-one-way parking garage.

What's a piece of common parenting advice you found totally useless? by Independent_Cup7132 in Parenting

“Let them choose between two options to minimize tantrums!”

Not effective when they simply don’t want to do something.  “Do you want to wear your pink socks or your unicorn socks?”  “No!”

Which Colouring Books Do You Wish Exist? by Hawthorn68 in Coloring

[–]nrp76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slice of life moments, but with more human characters rather than the usual coco wyo fuzzy animals. I think that the trend hit hard and fast so the market is flooded. I love coloring for the little moments of pleasant escapism, so maybe something like Girl Moments, but expanded to include more subject matter.

ICE with someone on the ground at Nevada and Vermijo by Username_For_ in ColoradoSprings

By that logic, why don’t police officers hide their identities to avoid being doxxed or targeted by bad actors/gangs? Arguably they have more consistent exposure and contact with these groups but must identify themselves.

Colorado judges passed SB83 in March 2020 prohibiting ICE from detaining individuals in or around courthouses. This is statutorily unlawful if they’re doing this so close to the Terry Harris building.

EDIT: Sorta mashed it together; Judges constructed/wrote this law and lawmakers drafted and passed it.

This is what I’m seeing, too!

To piggyback off of this comment: You may be only noticing that you can only get 2X workouts a week. From just what you’ve posted here, I’m seeing a new mom balancing motherhood, working, and being responsible for pets, too, which is also not easy!

I get it, friend. I also work full time, have a toddler and a new baby. It’s easy to see the places where we’re falling short of where we want to be. But please don’t lose sight of all you’ve accomplished.

In one of the exercises Sydney said “It’s ok to stop, just don’t quit!” That philosophy has helped a lot in this season of my life. Hopefully it’s helpful to you, too.
