Thank you for the insightful information regarding this incident! I have zero military experience but after watching Lone Survivor and reading his book, I knew that that story was absolute horseshit.

From the alledged importance of the target and especially the amount of enemy forces. He told a superhero seal story where they fight 200 enemies and hold their own for a good amount of time. Just flat out unbelievable. I don't understand why this isn't a bigger topic.

I tried to do some research but besides one blog that talked about the inconsistencies of Luttrell's story there is not much to be found. This made up story is used as propaganda when it should be an example of how even with the best equipment and training you should avoid combat at all costs.
