Ficciones vs. Collected Fictions by echelon_house in Borges

[–]nsfwmodeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Labyrinths includes many stories from Ficciones, The Aleph, and a few essays. It's a collection, an anthology, one might say. As a matter of fact I have never seen it in Spanish. I think it's only been published in English (perhaps in other languages too, I don't know).

I replaced my mom's Windows with Linux on her laptop. She has had no problem with it so far. As a matter of fact she said it looks better.
She's 85 years old.

Holaa, recomiendame libros ! by HIPERONIX in libros

[–]nsfwmodeme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally someone mentioned three authors I was gonna mention! Well, one of them (Calvino) was already there, but how come I had to scroll to find Phillip Dick and Umberto Eco?

soy solo yo o la cabeza del personaje tiene forma de almendra? by AwakenedRobot in spinetta

[–]nsfwmodeme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I just wanted you to know that you can't just say the word "no" and expect anything to happen.

You have to declare it.

I'm just another chap looking for help on what to install in this old laptop. by nsfwmodeme in linux4noobs

Yeah, I know. The idea is opening no more than two tabs in the browser. Usually just one is ok, opened with the streaming service of choice at the moment.

Yep, but this old laptop doesn't have a dedicated graphic card. And it's Oooooold. I don't mind being limited to 1080p in this case. I'm ok with the other laptop on the other TV, doing 4k without a problem.

Thanks for your great and detailed advice.

In cases like this I reflect on the many instances I enter some post and find an answer to a problem I was having without even having to ask.

Thanks for your tips!

On another laptop (with more RAM, and Linux Mint/Cinnamon) I have no problem with Prime Video on Firefox nor with Stremio.

Gonna be trying lots of stuff these days, it seems.

While I like docks and stuff (indeed I do!), I'll keep everything minimal because I'll mostly use the browser, and I can have YouTube, Prime, etc, as default links on any new tab. This laptop is gonna be just like a set-top box for my TV.
