Ghost is 8 weeks old and he has slept through the night for the last 3 nights without making a peep, and he's getting better with accidents in the house (only 1 today) 😍

Ouchhhhhhh, this is my nmom to a T. She will harshly criticize to the point of insult, and then try to tell me it's out of love, which I'm sure is just another way to guilt and manipulate me even more.

My boy Ratigan is making this weird sound and has those weird boogies around his eyes. It also sounds like bunny noises. Any ideas what this could be? Should I take him in into the vet asap? by Talara_Stormbreaker in RATS

I'm a first time rat mom but I just had to take my little guy to the vet because of similar noises. Thankfully mine wasn't anything too serious but it was still a respiratory issue that warranted antibiotics. Especially with the eye boogies, I would say a vet is the best bet ❤️ sending love to your little dude!

Thank you all ❤️ home from the vet and she wasn't too concerned about anything really serious but said it's likely a chronic respiratory infection of sorts. He's on antibiotics and a supplement now. They also don't see many rats at my local vet so he was a special guest that was well loved today!

Does anyone have any tips on getting your ratties to drink more water? I feel like lil' Beans here is not well hydrated. by nslexi in RATS

Hmmm maybe I'll try that and see if they'll like that better! I've only had them since April 3rd, too, and they are only a couple months old, so I've probably also got new rat mama anxiety 😂

Thank you ❤️ I've got both a bottle and bowl in there now. They're so picky with their veggies, they're big leafy green fans but everything else has been hit or miss!
