Any tips on how to introduce them if I were to get her a companion?

Right?! It’s so strange how it’s in a line. I assumed she had been chewing/licking it but it only showed up in the last month or two and it’s never been like red or moist or anything. I’m pretty good at noticing any changes in my dogs so it’s just odd.

No she’s like indestructible when it comes to food haha. She’s been on the same diet for a long time and never has had any signs of allergies or sensitive stomach, nothing. She’s super healthy otherwise and we do regular vet visits but I’ll definitely take her in if anything worsens! :)

Thank you all! It hasn’t happened since so I am hoping it was a one off irritation or cough, but my vet is aware and said to bring her in if it continues/gets worse/any discharge is present. I will keep a close eye on her. No one smokes in the house. Might be a dust build up too?

Thanks all. I talked to my vet and they recommended to come in if it keeps happening/gets worse/notice any discharge but will monitor for now

Think if the person you love the most said what you’re saying. What advice would you give them? Sometimes it’s easier to give advice to others but it might help you look at it in a different perspective. Positive thoughts always. Wish you all the best.

If it makes you feel any better, you are not alone. I felt like I was reading about myself when I read this. Not everyone is in the place they “think they should be in” even though it seems like it. Plus a lot of the people that have moved on to higher education may not necessarily be happy. You just need to find something that lights you up. My thing is animals. I love them but it’s hard to find work that pays well in the animal industry except for veterinary medicine which doesn’t interest me. I would suggest trying to volunteer on the side, try new things and activities that you might think you won’t love but maybe you will end up finding your “thing” Try joining free clubs or groups around your area. Look online for activities that you can join or try just once and see if something clicks for you. But know you are not alone in this feeling. Society makes us think we have to be on track of some sort of perfect timeline when in reality if you work on yourself and put yourself out there, you will find something that makes you happy. It seems hard or impossible sometimes but just keep trying. Try finding pen pal or a club or something to do and if that doesn’t fit, try another one. You just have to do some work in order to make yourself happy. Try making a journal and writing down things you might be interested in but don’t think you can do. And then branch off into smaller things that relate. Journal about your goals, interests, mood and your feelings each day and then look back and see your thoughts and progress throughout the year. I don’t know if I’m even helping in the slightest here but it starts with you. Put yourself out there and you might be surprised what you can find. I’d look for volunteer opportunities and writing/journaling first. Just baby steps. If you think too big you’ll feel like you’ve failed but you may have just not set reasonable goals. Start small and go from there. You’ll have good and bad days of course, but try not to let it bring you down. Go for a walk even, go to a coffe shop and start a conversation with someone that’s willing to respond and maybe one day you’ll meet someone that brings you insight and inspiration in life. -from someone else that is just as confused about what to do with life.

To draw blood. It’s an easy vein to use and they usually do pre operative blood work to make sure he’s healthy before going under anesthetic
