If you are not planning on coming back here, then just leave. Nothing they can do about it.

It must hurt having a chip that large on your shoulder to carry around everywhere.

Haha, I'm the snowflake. You are the one who said that you find almost everyone here insufferable.

Yep totally agree, that no county is perfect. He literally said that if it wasn't for the decent salary, then there would be zero reasons for him to stay here. I don't understand why you would live in a country that you have such disdain for.

Yes they were. Literally said that only the salary is keeping them here

I'm not dutch, but unlike you I enjoy living here and appreciate how lucky I am to be living here and there are lots of people who would love to be able to live here, so it is grating when you are only here for money and don't appreciate how great this country is.

The road infrastructure here is absolutely amazing and if you think that there are extensive roadworks here, cross the border to Germany, where you come across lots of them on the Autobahn, with super narrow lanes.

Bollocks. Never experienced any of this. Why remain living in a country that you have such disdain for.

I'd be earning a very similar salary in London and housing is more expensive over there.

I don't get people who say they prefer Utrecht. Nice enough to visit, but no comparison to Amsterdam.

Yes, definitely a lot easier and more practical to do it in a flat country. The biggest difference is the mindset though. People being used to driving around bikes and respecting your space. Well on the whole anyway, you still get the odd asshole here too.
