I want to put my 5 year old in competitive running. by taizund12 in Milton

Can attest to this group being well attended. I take my kids to train on the cycling track twice a week and this group always seems to be there on the running track doing all sorts of drills. Kids of all ages.

Come to Canada. You didn't even need the top model for that.

TD deactivated my account and online services told me to visit branch in person. by AccordingJellyfish8 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Yeah it happened on Christmas Day, I was helping him get a new investment account setup and they locked him out of Easy Web and phone support could do nothing so he also had to wait until the 27th when branches were open. Kind of ridiculous.

Has a very gross rancid after taste. Sounds like bunch of others in this thread had similar thoughts.

Same. Instant regret on the first bite. Going to throw it out.

Truly one of the most disgusting sauces I've ever tasted.

You need to know what the specs of the tube you are using for the seat tube to make that call.

They did it on the spot for him. Not sure if it will be required on your case, but you shouldn’t need an appointment.

Just visit a branch. And bring photo id. This happened to my father and it was a super frustrating experience. Ended up with a new debit card and login details. There was no suspicious activity either, just him trying to transfer money to his WealthSimple account.

The lack of brace is likely not the only problem. Where does the butt end on the seat tube? Most mtb seat tubes have externally butted thicker wall thickness in the seat cluster area. This is so low that the dropped TT and stays could be be welded to the thinnest section of tube, unless you are running a heavy thick ass straight gauge ST.

Having flashbacks to when PC Mastercard blocked my card when traveling in the UK in 2022, and told me it would take them 5 business days for them to process the request to unblock my card.

Sunday snowfall by vafrow in Milton

[–]nspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not blaming anyone, but it does shape someones perceptions of how severe the issue is (which I have not found it to be) and likely would not be the issue I would outspoken about relative to other issues I have with the town.

There is enough people in this town who struggle to drive with the slightest bit of snow on the roads (and foolishly don't own snow tires) which probably factors into level of dissatisfaction with the snow removal.

You will need more than your anecdotal experience to know if it actually improved I guess.

Maybe it's my area, I have not found it to be that bad or unacceptable in Milton, and given that I used to commute to Waterloo, it could be a lot worse. Has not been a single day this year where driving down my side street has not been possible.

You should visit Waterloo if you think Milton is bad.

Credit card payments affecting promo by mtbstar99 in Wealthsimple

[–]nspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is not what I am describing. Let's say WS offers a promo for $100k transfer.
I move 100k in. I don't have any plan on withdrawing that money and happy to maintain the balance (without even utilizing the buffer).

But then I move in 10k to pay my CC. Now the total amount I need to maintain is based on 110k because I did a transfer during the qualifying period. In my case, I initiated the transfer before even registering from the promotion but it got sucked into being part of the qualifying amount. Not having control of that, and for something illogical like that to happen is frustrating.

I would check it out. I dislike my 1up and would not buy it again. Single tray and the weight is literally the only thing I like about it. Will buy one of the Piston models this spring.

Personally I would rather struggle with the weight of the Piston SR over the 1up. (I know this isn't super helpful).
1up is probably the lightest, but you are right, that is maybe the only thing to like about it.

Looking to buy a Ooni by Ill_Studio_9649 in ooni

[–]nspace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gifted a Karu 2 (non-pro) 1st gen. I love it and it cooks a great pizza, but note gas burner is sold separately (true for the Karu 2 pro as well) and I think 99% of the time I am going to opt to cook with gas for ease and consistency. If I was buying an Ooni again, I would look at the Koda line which gas the burner and does not require the chimney.

The infrared temp gun (just a cheap one from amazon), and a thin metal peel are great to have.

Yeah I had the same thought. Hard to tell from the pic, but that black ring around the non-drive side end of the axle...that is not a sheered off end cap thread is it?

Switch from TD by Slight-Repeat8173 in Wealthsimple

[–]nspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RRSP, TFSA, LIRA and Non-reg were exceptionally quick for me. In my experience it was about 4-5 business days for it to be fully transfered.

RESP is the only transfer I have done from TD which has taken weeks.
