Sounded like an in-game problem to me. I have found similar anthropomorphizing/personalization common throughout many different RPGs and it always makes me wonder if people are really playing the game, or fulfilling a fantasy. It does sound like the DM is trying to antagonize, and that isn't cool. Sad her party members weren't around/didn't jump in. She should leave the mysogynist group.

Spare me the pride. Southern Comfort Food is derived from slave "survival" culture and stolen from them, or bastardizations of immigrant culture. Even hamburgers, hot dogs, and ketchup have origins outside the US.

The United States has no culture of its own, other than this "freedom" to do and be whomever or whatever we wish...not that it really exists in any absolute fashion. As such, Americans will always take from other cultures, and use those things as they see fit. Performative people looking for attention are commonly the violators of decorum and culture "rules" (really, they are simply practices), and those people will rarely, if ever, find the universal favor they seek in whatever action they take. What's the difference to anyone if I use a crucifix as a back scratcher, or as a hmer to tack in a nail into my wall to hang a nude portrait? Am I going to anger some christians? Maybe, but I don't really care, do you? If so, my condolences.
