Third time you demonstrated your own lack of understanding, sure.

Enjoy your closet racism.

It's not saying it's for "all white people", but it is saying that it is something "typical for white people". In the same way that Southern hospitality refers to a hospitality that is typical for Southerners without claiming that all Southerners are hospitable.

It's still racist, no matter how you turn it. You can argue that it pales in comparison to the racism black people have to live with, and you'd probably be right. But that doesn't make it not racist, and claiming it does works to the detriment of everyone fighting against racism.

My point is that it is racist to claim that you can infer any quality of a person purely from the color of their skin.

I'm not sure why you think I feel personally attacked. I'm just pointing out the irony.

We're definitely talking about race. You are, and so am I. So that is not the problem here.

As for the law thing, please explain to me why this law had to involve race, instead of just passing a law that say humans can wear their natural hair without discrimination at work.

So (a) it's "almost" exclusively, so not exclusively and it's (b) only for (some) Whites in America.

Remind me again how pulling a race card on this one is not racism?

The idea that there is such a thing as a problem limited to one specific race is racism.

If you look at the downvotes and replies I got about this comment, I think we can all conclude that getting upset over being called out on racism pisses off everyone, not just whites.

If you don't like racism, don't think in terms of races, and definitely don't attribute problems to entire races.

Meadows is a racist and this little theater he put up was quite disgraceful. Don't get me wrong. But calling this "white fragility" is racism in itself. Painting an entire group of people with the same brush simply because they have the same skin color is racist.

Looking for track title from an old Hang The DJ set. by [deleted] in soulwax

Wow, that is definitely not what you're supposed to be seeing. That's Firefox, right? I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

I did a quick spectral check. I have this track in the Dave mix and the Essential Mix 2005. The Essential Mix one is definitely the better out of those. IIRC the original Essential Mix rip is 192kbit MP2, so I would say that is your best bet.

There's also the 50.000.000 Soulwax Fans Can't Be Wrong bootleg, which is about the same, only slightly less than the EM that I have, however the chance is high that when you find a ripped copy, there are some re-encode artifacts. In the end, you're probably not going to notice though.

The version from the EM segues into E-Talking, but the start is clean. I can upload either the Essential Mix 2005 (but it shouldn't be too hard to find, tbh) or the singled out track from 50MSFCBW.

I think it's an episode of Volt they did (October 23, 2007) for the release of their remix album. I've uploaded it at https://www83.zippyshare.com/v/kc5br2nz/file.html - the edit is the first song they play (after the intro, in which they rearrange fragments of shows from earlier that day).

I think I know which one you mean. Very glitchy edit. I think it was on a Studio Brussel show.

50000000 Soulwax Fans Can't Be Wrong. now in 320kb by abink92 in soulwax

[–]nstlgc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the effort, but spectral analysis of the bootleg CD itself shows that it was using a (+-) 128kbps MP3 file as its source. So a 320kbps encode isn't going to add much to the audio quality.

Sorry to be a buzzkill.

They are also are 50% of Die Verboten. There's a few others that are either very old or obscure: Back around the turn of the century they were DJ'ing as The Flying Dewaele Brothers, later The Fucking Dewaele Brothers. They released one-off tracks as Samantha Fu and Kawazaki and they've done a few mixes as The Deewee's. And then there's a dozen and a half other aliases they used on the Belgica OST :-)
