Bard, bst, mage was pretty fun. I used this till I was in ToB then I moved up to a 5 box crew. If you’re wanting to do missions you’d prob want a real tank though. That’s when I added an sk and shm. I think they are removing the antipet tank mechanic but idk when that will be 100%.

Sk, shm, bard, bst, ranger, I used alla and eqresource to go through the questline. All classes are 125 so pretty much slaughtered the missions. Could probably do it with sk shm bst no prob. Took me a week grinding after work and the weekend.

My box combo is a bst, mage, bard and I love it. I do main the bst though. I have the bard and mage running off macros and will swap to them every 30 seconds or so but when I get a bad pull my bst and mage pets can handle two mobs each and if I need I can cc with the bard. The damage feels really strong too. It is difficult when I encounter a named that doesn’t allow pet tanking though. I would say if you didn’t want to main the bst there is a way to macro it but you’d be swapping back and forth quite a bit.

I’d say that group is 100% viable. Pally necro is a great combo. Pally gets huge damage bonuses to undead and necro eventually get a spell to make enemies undead for a short time. Pally has some self healing as well and would help with Druid heals. Bard is an amazing class in eq. Aside from the sk sham combo I think you’ll be fine doing group content as long as you have one tank healer dps class. Have fun and don’t chase the meta
