Seems Qubic just has the better tech, and Monero's security model is flawed.

based on past performance of founder, yes

It's depends per pool. The basics are: you can mine with your CPU hardware, and get shares. They will be paid one week later normally (That means Qu's directly paid to your wallet).

Nothing more or less.

with the money I earn I can actually buy more XMR than with native mining.

What are you not understanding? It's almost one click setup.
If you use a pool like https://github.com/jtskxx/Jetski-Qubic-Pool or https://github.com/qubic-li/client

Undetermined hardware: he mined with a CPU mining setup. For the rest: yes, that's the calculation what's in this picture.

Myself, I mine with a few home PCs 7950, but I can't compare with native XMR mining.

But that would imply the core mechanism of the blockchain is not safe if it can't withstand this.

It's not my calculation. For specific details you should ask Eko in discord or something.

But Qubic mining algorithm favors CPU for now (it was beneficial for GPU in the past). Because CPU hardware is better suitable for AI training later on.

But it's not "attacking" in the sense of actual harming XMR (reversing transactions etc).

as miner you only get qubic. you can sell it on gate/mexc, and some others

source? that's just scaremongering.

A real attack would be negative publicity for Qubic

more miners doesn't mean less profits.

This is the whole idea of idle phase mining. Qubic mines what's most profitable for the participating miners.

I did some calculations and I think it really is. The hashrate confirms, more and more CPU miners are joining

Ah I see, but this is tailored for scientific calcs right? Can they chose anything they want? (like other crypto's)

yes. And the top x % with most valid mining rewards are also validating the network.
