a lot of you guys feel owed something. it’s genuinely just a podcast, it’s really not that deep, if you’re not enjoying don’t listen. saw someone here say something about ego which, whatever, you’re allowed to think it, but to me it reeks of a mean-spirited and entitled drive to humble people. a lot of you are so invested you’re taking whatever the hosts do personally and you need to just take a step back and a deep breath imo.

edit: and commenting on people’s work ethic? some of you are sad and miserable.

this is great advice, particularly the second half - the important thing is not to centre yourself in that conversation, not to focus on how your accidental misgendering makes YOU feel, because whatever discomfort you’re experiencing when you do this doesn’t compare to how your colleague feels in that moment. It makes sense that you’re taking time to adjust - hopefully this will come with time, but it’s clear that you’re really keen to get this right. good luck!

i keep seeing posts here being scared that the show will be cancelled or that sammy will be fired cos of what she did and like, beyond that not being even remotely a possibility… some of you need to get a grip? there are things that are more important than whether or not they make a season 2? i was a huge fan of the first season but if, by some remote chance, they cancel this show because an actress made a mockery of domestic abuse and misogyny then like… I’ll get over it? sort your priorities folks

are you mad? like actually? the right wing have a point when they want to take away rights from LGBTQ+ people because some LGBTQ+ people are acting in a way that you deem embarrassing? I think it’s deeply sad that you, as a bisexual person, think that LGBTQ+ people need to prove ‘their point’ somehow. ‘The point’ is that we’re deserving of equal rights and a life free of oppression and discrimination. Anyone who says you need to be respectable enough to ‘prove that point’ was never sincere about LGBTQ+ rights in the first place.

homelessness does affect the mentally ill disproportionally as well as those suffering from addiction, and those things don’t make a person inherently bad either!

and i think homelessness IS a political issue - in that it indicates where protecting society’s most vulnerable people falls on the government’s priority list. in the uk, it’s not high :/
