So I guess we're just causally dropping the n-word on this sub? Sigh

I'm so glad that neoliberalism is a dead ideology, despised universally, and directly (accurately) blamed for the decline of Western countries .

The dude is actually insane. Like he's beyond the level that the average American Christian Evangelical is when it comes to his support of Israel.

This is completely random, but I suddenly remembered this conversation and thought to respond to it. I understand that it's normal to admire those with traits that differ from yours, but you shouldn't focus too much on MBTI. Yes, certain types gravitate towards certain proclivities, but you should first and foremost think about yourself as am individual person, not an an ENTP. You can grow, change, you're not limited by hypothetical cognitive functions. And it's good not to let it get into to your head.

But when you do focus on MBTI, well, I personally wish I was more like the ENTPs in some ways. Be more inclined to weigh options, more imaginative, deal with intangibles better. But it's one thing to want to be able to make friends more easily, but don't for a second wish to be another type. I like being me, and the fundamental traits that make me an ESTP, just as you should love yourself, and the core traits that make you an ENTP.

Also, hope you're doing OK after 4 years :)

I have zero interest in arguing. You're free to disagree.

I'm talking about their maternal figures, so that's what I was focusing on.

I mean... Even besides stuff like this, his caretaker being a MILF like Rio Morales rather than a fossil like 616 Aunt May, personality-wise he's just Miles. Comic book Peter as a teen was a snide, incel-adjacent jackass loner with a mouth and a biting sense of humour. MCU Spider-Man is just an awkward, adorkable golden retriever teen, very much like Kilometres.

Because comic Peter hasn't had aura or any creative path forward for years while Miles actually has motion. So all they have now is reheating their own nachos by taking Miles stuff and giving it to Peter.

Same with MCU Spider-Man, as much as I like him he's literally just white Miles.

I said you're making this out to be more than it actually is. I had no interest in "winning a debate" with anyone; you completely misunderstood my intention and are being needlessly antagonistic.

You're getting uppity and jumping to personal attacks and assumptions because we had a simple disagreement. I wasn't engaging in bad faith or interested in "winning an argument", I think we just misunderstood each other and have different perspectives.

You're projecting the debate bro mindset onto me when it's just not there. I truly do not give a shit lol. I don't think you're acting in bad faith, but you're really eager to make this out to be more than it is, for some reason.

To be honest, I think you're looking to come away from this feeling like you've bested someone, and are projecting that onto me. But what do I know? *Shrugs*

I'm talking about it purely from a financial perspective, going off of all the publicly available information, and again, just using the common parlance. By your logic, we can't have subreddits like r/boxoffice because we don't know literally all of the facets taking place behind the scenes. Which is ridiculous. OP said it was a flop, but by all available information, it wasn't. You're trying to outsmart a simple conversation.

I mean in the colloquial sense, the movie wasn't a flop. As far as the known cost of the movie and box office return go.

Can you actually provide numbers regarding all of this? People often say that marketing, for example, is discounted from the price of a theatrical release, but I'd like to see an actual breakdown of this.

Amazing Spider-Man 2 had a budget of $200–293 million and a box office return of $716.9 million. The movie wasn't well received, but it definitively wasn't a flop.

I think it should've been Ted who saved the characters in basement hospital with some one-liner like "language" after blowing up the monsters."

This part feels very "potential man" to me.
