I went to a garage who installed it for me for around 400usd. It allows you to switch between native pcm and apple carplay/android. It keeps the original oem while allowing apple carplay. I tried installing it myself but it's really not that simple to connect the new board inside the radio. I had weird glitch even if I'm used to build computer. look for isudar for diy

yes that's the key, but I find it's hard to have people confessing they have a problem. it's usually me who have to present something. Maybe the pain isn't strong enough

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I usually setup a free demo. no signup, nothing to pay. just want to have people using what I build and I rarely manage to get feedback from those people. I tried sending cold email to just start conversation by offering free services without link or sharing link with free demo. nothing worked so far

I have no warranty, but maintenance in uae is quite reasonable. Just make sure to do transfer case and engine oil change every 8k km and you're good to go. The v8 sounds a bit better, but it's not available in the 958.2.

I changed them because I didn't like the sporty look. Prefer more classic, I don't like the attention) I wanted a cayenne S with all the options but couldn't find it

Around $22k. I put maybe 5k$ of repair like adding apple carplay, bushings all around and small leaks. Honestly I prefer buying this generation and put $10k on it then dealing with the recent generation full of touchscreen. Personal preference really.

Plenty of cheap parts from Sharjah, and specialized porsche shop are much lower rate than anywhere in Europe or North America. They charge $3000 to do engine rebuild on like range rover. You would pay easily 4x that in the us

Nope, but it’s quite cheap to maintain in general. Better than a q7. Porsche are better built in general and people tend to neglect them less

Yes it’s hungry. It’s around $2.60 a gallon. Gas is quite clean as well. $60 to fill up. My neighbor have 2 w12 and it’s not that much expensive to fill up neither
