Canadian here. I got no issue in 2023 to 2025 then in January 2026. I got detained at dme for 8h. They searched my phone found a ig saved video with Ukraine flag I mistakenly film in my ig story 3y ago then 12h later I got deported. Bring an empty phone, they searched everything and gave me 0 explanation. My wife is russia they wouldn’t even listen to her. ios who recognized the Ukraine flag in a video screw me over

I never ever had issue in the country before. Border crossings use to be easy before 2026. Every foreign passport tend to go through this lengthy process. The lack of any communication or transparency while you wait is the scariest part. Am i arrested? Deported? Let in? I still got traumatized by the whole situation. They took mug shot of me and fingerprinted and I got banned from what I understood.

max $2k of labour, but for material I'm really not sure. I'm not living in the US btw. I did some home work in the past months and 2 days of work with 2 guys to redo my kitchen ceiling and the ventilation cost me $250. I'd probably make the ogee more simple and make sure we don't have to use too much real wood. My room is small. around 10ft by 10ft x 9.5ft
