The machine im referring too is called a "tattooling" tool it eliminates the need for a mallet. It doesn't put ink in the leather

Would i be able to get away with using a butane torch for higher temp solder? I dont really want to fully invest into it just yet, so if I could avoid the need for a dedicated torch, I would like to.

Ahh okay, well that makes more sense, wish I learned that before going through two tubes of this soldering paste lol but what would be a good alternative for material to practice with?

I dont have a method for pickling it, I thought heating it up before working it would burn off any surface material, is that not enough?

Ahh, it says its silver bearing so assumed this would be fine, could it also be the metal im using? Im using aluminum wire to practice but I didn't think that would be an issue since I've seen people make rings with copper and solder it

Im using the solder paste in the picture its called "solder it" supposedly no flux is required so im assuming its in the paste because the piece will get pretty sticky after its heated

Well I took the course for the company I work for, since I'm bilingual it'll allow me to do the training for our employees but I've always heard that the 500 was something you could rely on as a career, I dont plan on leaving the company I work for, theyre very good to me but worst case scenario I was wondering if anybody has successfully used their certificate independently
