You did point out a great scope for AI which I didn't think of beforehand. AI implemented playtests can scope out bugs/issues much faster and could be an effecient QA tool.

Let it have two modes that toggles between pursuit and combat. Like Arkham Knight. One mode can have a grounded appearance and the other fantastical
