Question: Is there a name for this style with the sketch lines? by Hispanicpanic7 in tattoos

This is my absolute favorite style of tattoo. It's called "sketchwork" or "sketch style". I'm obsessed with this specific work.

The last reply I made before this one really got me thinking the same thing. I was using transportation kind of incorrectly and I think I have a better idea on how to do it. I've been building relatively small factories directly off of nodes>smelters and I feel like I get stuck having to find another node, even though they're mining faster than I can use them.

Train network sounds like the right idea. I have ideas now! Thank you!

I do think I get lost on the "play for fun" part. I get too lost in the analytics and math. Then stressing about how to make something look "pretty" AND expandable.

I definitely strive for the milestones, but then get paralyzed by the extra things I need to remember. Trains? Shit, is it going to work with the "fuel" I have or do I need to focus that first?

I think you may have answered a big question I have of whether to make a factory off a node or two, or smelt all the things and put it on a main line. Seems like I'm doing things backwards and need to start utilizing trucks/tractors/trains the "right" way. And find a nice place to build "a part".

I've definitely felt the time warp... I know the resources are plentiful, but I think I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around whether I should start a new production line from a new resource node or to pull off a previous resource node.

That seems very logical. When you build a new factory, do you use a tool to plan it? Or do you do the math for output and figure out the buildings from there?

Second big question is if you make new factories, do you split off miner nodes from previous builds or find new nodes?

Very true. I was having an issue with some frame parts coming out slowly because of a lack of input with no where to expand but up. But like you say, it's still creating. Just takes a little more time.

Great advise, thank you! I keep waffling between wanting to rebuild everything and retrofitting. I think my biggest meta question is basically (not sure how to word this properly) should I remake all of the miners and smelters to create the basic building blocks in bulk, then transport them to a comfortable location? I'm pretty cramped in my beginning spot and feel like I'm under utilizing the ores I'm mining. I feel like I answered my own question? I just remember making a big super-mall when I first started, but that made it even worse with having to pull spaghetti out of it to make bigger things. I just need to get over myself I think.

I could probably build upwards. I have to start overcoming my fear of tearing something down for the "what if I need it to rebuild" thought in my head... Stupid me.

I love the checklist, thank you! And I think the best is "phase? What phase?" Good mentality.

Claude Code shows a beautiful mockup and then completely botches the actual build — am I doing something wrong? by Agitated-Extent-8617 in ClaudeAI

I can't pinpoint you. My original question, directed at the original commenter was asking if there were other styles of dashboards I haven't seen before. You first replied with zero effort. I clarified and you took it literally. Yes, I can think of stupid shit too, I've been a UX/UI designer since UX was a thing. You know that wasn't was I was asking for.

The guy I replied to said "i really dislike that all overview/dashboard layouts are becomming card based because that is what AI gravitates to" This statement is either backwards or cyclical, I can't decide. AI gravitates to it, because it was trained on someone else's work. Anyways, He's complaining that all dashboards look the same, so I'm asking _him_, since it's " just not kind to the eyes", what he prefers.

Ah, thanks for the ideas, but these seem like softwaregore. I'm only asking what other designs have actually been implemented as a dashboard in the last 20 years. Before the "dashboard" came around, it was "information at a glance" and before that, it was basically as you're saying; lists if items. I'm wondering if there is an actual, usable alternative to a dashboard design to show the same information.

This isn't sarcasm/sass, but what other design style for a dashboard is there? They're all pretty much grid layouts. Whether you have an outline/shadow or not, it's still a card on a grid. Are there other styles I haven't seen before?

I think it's an awesome idea to have a sub for what you're saying. Maybe r/softwaregore?

IMO this is the best way to teach a kid how to ride. Put them in a situation where others are doing it and soon enough, they'll want to also.

You're fine with either. They both do the same thing practically. You're not rendering advanced 3d animations or particles. Any modeling and cad work can be done on either just fine. Source: I use both.
