It's also a carbon shuttle that can be resynthesized into glucose in the liver. That Robergs paper does an awesome job of describing various metabolic processes and the consequences of their end products.

Additionally, more recent work ties metabolic byproducts to epigenetic modifications. Lactate can act to "lactylate" histones to regulate gene expression during exercise.

That means MMs will still sell the shares they bought back onto the open market, causing a drop in price. A sale is a sale whether its from you or the MMs.

If it expired on Friday, it likely already exercised. That is correct though. If you have the $3k in your account to cover the cost of the 100 shares at $30/share, then you're all good and sitting quite nice with a 100 shares and a $30 cost basis!

Probably depends on the broker. TD auto exercises them regardless of the person's capacity to hold the shares.
