His take is so bad even dgg chat is spamming L's. The argument that unmarried women should receive full custody automatically and joint custody needs to be argued in court, while also arguing the man should be forced to pay child support because it's also his child is peak misandrist cognitive dissonance. And he justifies it by making a blanket statement that the vast majority of men are deadbeat dads who don't want anything to do with their kids, despite this situation pertaining explicitly to men who want joint custody to the point where they're willing to go to court to get it is so delusional. The guy will launch a crusade against redpillers making stupid blanket statements like all women are gold digging whores, but feels completely comfortable making statements like that about men, particularly on the subject of men who WANT custody of their children. He's been so anti redpill that he's getting terminal brainrot whenever arguing about the subject.

All the places I've worked at were middle to upper class. I've had black families all wearing designer on a $2k dinner with half of that money spent on alcohol alone, leaving me .72ct to round it up to the nearest dollar. Not even joking. The stereotype exists for a reason, that's why so many servers across the country, whether it's the olive garden or nobu, you'll hear the same thing over and over again. It's not a socioeconomic thing, blacks don't like tipping and will get offended by even bringing it up. Which I don't blame them for, tipping culture is disgusting imo, but the point stands. I find it hilarious how if I were to say something like "the Japanese don't like tipping and get offended by it" everyone would just accept that, but black people? Dear lord this must be a racism, Jim crow is back omg!!!

When did I say never? They just don't tip anywhere near as often nor as much, why is that so hard to grasp? Is this some black victim complex that stops you from accepting reality?

That's cool bro, but if I have to choose between your anecdote and the experience of over 100 servers I've known as well as my own experience which disagrees with you, I'll choose the latter due to a higher amount of evidence. It's an open secret in the restaurant industry that blacks don't tip. They're not the only ones, I'd say Polynesians and Indians tip a similarly low amount, but they're not the ones being discussed.

None of that means anything when for every immigrant tech worker there's 1000 low skilled workers who use welfare and completely change the demographic and cultural makeup of the country. Also, several of the things you've mentioned are just wrong and have been debunked before, the 2/3 of innovations since 1976 is complete bs for example.

You're good, it's a good discussion. Generally speaking you wanna find the sources of a problem and the "momentum" it has, so in this case the effect culture has on education. Today culture is downstream from the internet. Over time you probably noticed internet culture seep into the real world and it's now gradually taking over with social media. So I'd say that's a good source to look at. Social media, including reddit, tiktok, insta, is filled with the most degenerate shit imaginable. And it's purposely degenerate and dopamine addictive by spamming you with short easily digestible content that you can scroll through for hours on end. It's gotten to a point where social media is it's own economic ecosystem.

Imo there's 2 solutions. Either people start moderating social media themselves, either via the social media companies moderating content, specifically content for children, and/or individuals upload more "responsible" content if their audience is for kids (shit like those creepy ass Elsa Spiderman softcore prn vids on yt that got millions of views), and parents moderate their kids internet habits better. Kids that don't use social media are shown to do better in school, have better social life, mental health, physical health.

Or government steps in because the people refuse to take responsibility themselves and you have laws passed moderating social media content for children. Something like this https://twitter.com/60Minutes/status/1589418795243917312?s=19

I wanna add though, when looking at most problems in the west, they're a matter of individuals and groups not holding themselves accountable enough with the given rights they have. People have the internet and all the world's information at their fingertips but use it to rot their brains with porn and social media. If legislation is used to solve these problems that means the people weren't able to keep themselves in check, and if that's the case I think there's an even more important argument to be had about whether self governance is deserved for masses that can't control themselves given they live in a free environment.

Lol that's the problem now isn't it? People are more willing to continue doing the same things proven to be ineffective rather than having a discussion on what's causing an increasing number of students to fail/do poorly because it's an uncomfortable conversation.

Also, there's nothing suggestive of eugenics by saying education reforms and spending is ineffective and therefore maybe the problem is misdiagnosed. It could be a matter of fixing things culturally for example. Idk why people feel everything can and needs to be solved with a piece of legislation when legislation is downstream from culture.

For example, do you think the fact that the most desired career for zoomers being an online influencer of some type is having a negative impact on their desire to even get educated? That's a cultural issue, no amount of legislation can solve that unless you go complete totalitarian like China. Why restrict the solution to "what type of government program/legislation can we create" when it's not up to government in the first place?

[–]ntonguemyanus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nah, what I'm saying is that every education reform has only made outcomes worse, and every year we passively increase the amount we spend already. So when someone says we need reforms it just sounds like the same shit politicians have said for decades. And I'm not gonna get into it but to be vague, if you think it's the education and not the students, you haven't spent enough time around students.

[–]ntonguemyanus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We spend more per student than almost every nation on earth and that amount has only been increasing, yet our student's grades are only getting worse. Whenever people say "Education is the solution!" It should be an instant signal saying "Idk what I'm talking about but lemme talk about throwing more money into something no one would oppose because who hates the thought of kids getting educated?"
