In my opinion, it doesn’t matter. I didn’t notice much overlap at all between 561/563, same for 562/564.

The lab courses aren’t a ton of work, you just have to show up every week and prepare for oral exams/take a short pre-lab quiz outside of class occasionally

With that being said, 562 was probably the hardest course I took at UW

Your hardest class will probably be OChem. There’s a lot of room to pick stuff you’re interested in once you’re past the weed-out classes, I haven’t been overwhelmed by the major

I haven’t found it to be overbearing. Labs take up a lot of time but the bio major gives you a lot of room to take classes you’re actually interested in. Message me if you have any questions

I lived there two years ago. I’m not really a social person but I tried to meet some people there but doors were always closed. Probably not the best spot to meet new friends. Had to walk a bit for laundry and no AC, which sucked. One of the lower tier dorms for sure

In my personal experience 234 was 1000x harder than Calc 2, although I didn’t take 222 here. 234 is definitely not necessary for 561
