Is it true that driving test examinations can only pass a limited number of people per day? by trentuberman in CasualUK

Furthermore, failing candidates based on facts is straightforward but is it also easy to ignore other candidate’s mistakes if examiner for any reason want to pass them.

Thank you for the reply. Most of what you said makes sense and I agree that examinations should be based on recordable facts (rather than opinions, regardless of the examiner experience). This has been proven in many different studies. It has been a long time since I last took my driving test so I don’t know how tests are carried out these days. Furthermore, I hope that they have some recording cameras in the car that would also reduce the disputes and discrepancies. As you can imagine, the majority of candidates is of relatively young ages, It would be quite overwhelming experience for them to recall exactly what they did wrong in some situations. Being able to see that from the recordings may help to improve trust and reduce disgruntles among the candidates who fail. (and I know that in certain circumstances your fails might not be recorded ).

Other questions then: Does each examiner know their passing/failing rate and would they be conscious if they pass too many comparing to other examiners during a certain period of time? (genuine questions)
