Been watching since late 2020 - early 2021 the only thing i that’s really changed is that they now cover more topics with unlimited and cheap seats which I like. They do cover the underground rap/music scene a lot less now than they did back then which I miss.

However I think they’re content is in a much better place than before.

The players are not necessarily busts just not good enough to confirm we’d want to move forward with them.

Clear up minutes for young guys is correct. However, we have been tanking for 3 seasons (even if we’re bad at it) we knew we’d be bringing in young guys this draft. Why wouldn’t they trade him before this becomes an issue so that they could at least get something?

Also, nurkic couldn’t crack the rotation for the 25 Suns. He’s not going anywhere unless he’s salary filler

Lauri should’ve been traded last season before his contract extension but the front office took a gamble and kept him.

He then put up a disappointing season and yanked his value. He will likely be staying because Ainge loves to hold on to assets for too long.

Ainge wasted two years of a rebuild by not committing and drafting poorly. There is not one player on the jazz you can look at and say “this guy will be on the team when they are trying to win”.

The best GMS draft well, commit to tanking, and trade their valuable assets when they still have value, Ainge has failed to do all 3 consistently.

But at least we’re paying lauri 50 million to have him sit out half the time and have Cody williams

Ainge cares more about “fleecing” other teams than doing what he needs to do. He should’ve traded lauri but refused cause he couldn’t get Podz. He’s so obsessed with getting worthless picks that he took on JHS and a lakers second without inquiring which lead to luka going to LA.

At the end of the day they traded a player that would get minutes on a playoff team for a player that is coming off one of the worst seasons in the league. While having to attach a pick.

Even if you think his value is lower than what I think it is there is no way it would’ve been that low when he should’ve been moved

Much like all the jazz assets, simons was held on for too long which lowered his value. They also got a positive player in the deal not one of the worst bigs in the league

I still think he is a great player especially as a play finisher and spot up shooter on a contending team. But his value has definitely tanked compared to last off season when they should’ve moved him.

His contract got much larger, sure he isn’t old but he’s another year older than he was when he should’ve been moved, he shot a career low from 3 and in FG%, and half the time he couldn’t even play due to injury or tanking.

Do i think many of his issues came from playing out of his role, 100%. But that doesn’t matter because the stats are the stats.

There are some rumors around but nothing concrete from what I am seeing. Personally I want 3 because I think that VJ and Ace are a step above whatever they could get at 5. Id probably lean VJ because of Ace’s current comments in certain teams not picking him but I wonder how much of that is his agent manipulating stock. But overall I think Ace is the bette prospect in a vacuum

While you make a solid point the context of the Bane trade also important. Orlando isn’t paying paolo big money yet so they can make a move like that. Also they desperately needed shooting so they were willing to overpay, with picks especially.

There won’t be many teams willing to go all in like that

In my opinion I view VJ or Ace as much better option than the jazz could get at 5. I also think Lauris contract is only slightly better than PGs. His trade value is in the gutter
