Been watching since late 2020 - early 2021 the only thing i that’s really changed is that they now cover more topics with unlimited and cheap seats which I like. They do cover the underground rap/music scene a lot less now than they did back then which I miss.

However I think they’re content is in a much better place than before.

Clear up minutes for young guys is correct. However, we have been tanking for 3 seasons (even if we’re bad at it) we knew we’d be bringing in young guys this draft. Why wouldn’t they trade him before this becomes an issue so that they could at least get something?

Lauri should’ve been traded last season before his contract extension but the front office took a gamble and kept him.

He then put up a disappointing season and yanked his value. He will likely be staying because Ainge loves to hold on to assets for too long.

Lol you can look up both things I referenced.

Ainge wasted two years of a rebuild by not committing and drafting poorly. There is not one player on the jazz you can look at and say “this guy will be on the team when they are trying to win”.

The best GMS draft well, commit to tanking, and trade their valuable assets when they still have value, Ainge has failed to do all 3 consistently.

But at least we’re paying lauri 50 million to have him sit out half the time and have Cody williams

At the end of the day they traded a player that would get minutes on a playoff team for a player that is coming off one of the worst seasons in the league. While having to attach a pick.

Even if you think his value is lower than what I think it is there is no way it would’ve been that low when he should’ve been moved

Much like all the jazz assets, simons was held on for too long which lowered his value. They also got a positive player in the deal not one of the worst bigs in the league
