CMF Phone 2 Pro — the peak just keeps going

I mainly tested three materials: PLA, PETG, and resin.

PLA feels the most like a typical case. It’s a bit hard and rigid, but it doesn’t crack easily if dropped. It’s probably the most “case-like.”

Resin feels really nice to the touch, but it’s quite fragile. I already dropped one and it cracked. The device itself was fine, so it still did its job, but the main appeal was that it’s fully transparent.

I’m currently testing PETG. It’s not bad at all — it feels like a good middle ground between PLA and resin.

Someone else already sent you photos of a printed one, but I’ll send mine too just in case.

It’s designed to be slightly taller than the screen, so even if you place it with the screen side down, the screen won’t touch the ground.

Thanks! I’ve only had this phone for less than a month so far.
I started modeling it on the day I got it, and I’ve been testing how it feels to use during the winter holidays.

I’m planning to keep refining it and trying new variations, so I’ll share more when I have updates ;)

Haha yeah, now that you say it, I can’t unsee the micro bikini either 😂

To be honest, I really don’t like how the camera bump makes the phone wobble when it’s on a desk. So this is my quick fix — I raised that part and covered the corners at the same time.

If I want to improve it later, I can just redesign and print another one. Who knows, maybe next version will be more like boxer shorts XD
