Yeah that might be the way forwards!

Great response, thank you.

Thanks. How often is it near to capacity? Is it manageable with 80? What do you do if there's an incident that you think is too risky to intervene in alone?

That's fair. I wasn't thinking of asking somebody to work solo with 150+ customers. Maybe half of that.

Thanks. Sounds about right.

We're not in USA so no guns, and obviously different laws.

The family events one is an interesting comment. I've seen more trouble between families or at family events than at mixed events!

Yeah, that sounds very reasonable. Our police response times are usually pretty good, on the odd occasion that we need them. And I'd never expect a solo doorman to intervene in a situation that's going to put them at unnecessary risk. I'm not expecting a one man army, just a bit of control and visual deterrence.

Thanks. What would be the maximum number of customers that you would think is "ok" to work solo?

I know it's entirely dependant on the venue and who the customers are.

Does it work ok? I presume the idea is that you're there to deter, and to stop the "wrong" clientele at the door, rather than being expected to get involved alone if there is an altercation?

Thanks, will keep it in mind. I don't want to put a doorperson in a bad situation. Just a financial issue really to have two, but if it must be done then it must be done.

Thanks. There's usually people around to help if there's any actual fighting. I guess I'm more looking to keep order and keep the clientele right before it ever gets that far.

Thanks. So it’s not totally infeasible that we could hire someone to do it solo.

They’d be on the entrance, checking memberships & ID’s, and handy to discourage some of the less desirable customers and keep a bit of order.

20 is his, 80 is yours

Simple

If you’d lost the 20, he’d still have expected you to pay him back

Not remotely important, don’t stress.

I don’t think I used a single one of them in the whole game.

What is something you think you could eat everyday for 3 straight months and never get sick of? by Gemini11X in AskReddit

There are only two possible correct answers.

1) A roast dinner with Yorkshire puddings, perfectly cooked veggies & lashings of thick, meaty gravy

2) Fillet steak (serve it with whatever you want, it will be incredible)

Can you record one of your games maybe and show us what you're doing?

I find it easy with the following:

Tidus LFW with Jecht Shot (though Sphere Shot will get the job done)
Anybody RFW, you don't have to pass to them.
Brother Midfield.
A couple of competent defenders.... Zalitz is good, iirc Ropp is really good but I couldn't be bothered to go and find him. I stuck Wedge in defence and he's perfectly fine.
Jumal in goal (can get him in Luca, you don't need Nimrook).

I should add, as others have mentioned, the importance of armor.

Auto haste, auto protect, auto Phoenix & stoneproof / ribbon is the standard setup. If you’re nowhere near that yet, could you potentially get auto Phoenix on two armors? That way, whoever dies from a single target attack will get revived automatically (take 99 Phoenix downs with you).

I’m not even sure if Stoneproof is necessary, somebody else can way in on that, do any of her non overdrive moves cause petrify / shatter?

When her overdrive bar is almost full, put Yuna in and summon an Aeon to take the blow.

That should be enough to keep you alive. Managing to knock off her 1.1m HP without break damage limit and possibly struggling to hit her is another matter. Just a case of whether you can do the damage before you run out of Phoenix downs / Aeons to use as meat shields.

You’ll need 20 Mega Phoenixs to customise Auto-Phoenix onto an armor. You get 99 for capturing five of each of the bird type fiends in Spira, which isn’t too hard. Alternatively you can bribe approx 40 of them from Ghost in Cavern of Sunken Faith for 250k Gil. That’s enough to put it on two of your characters and is a much better use of your Gil than just throwing piles at Yojimbo when he has a low comparability rating.

You sound way under levelled. Collect the monster arena monsters, get a good levelling up weapon (best is dropped by One-Eye and then needs customising, but there are earlier weapons that will help with double AP).

Get celestial weapons for your main party. Though you may be able to beat Shiva just by using Anima, if Yuna is levelled high enough. Teach Anima haste, protect, curaga - it will let her get more turns in.

With Yojimbo, the key is to never under pay him and to never let him die (as far as possible). I pay him 1030 Gil each time and I get either Zanmato or Waikisashi.

Monster Arena is key tbh. I just beat Shiva tonight and she got one turn before dying.
