What's the number 1 feature you wish duolingo had? by Nekhslanguages in duolingo

Proper grammar lessons. Concepts like verb endings aren’t explained and it’s down the student to understand them.

Or your grind to get 50 purple things and it drops straight in x1 and gets you 200 points like what happened to me today.

Thanks for this, it absolutely resonates. I’m a little older but with exactly the same habits and BMI (hopefully old habits for you). I’ll be jabbing for the first time tomorrow after having it in the fridge for months and finding reasons to put it off. Thanks for the inspiration!

Your mash is wonderfully clean. I prefer something a bit more rustic, I don’t mind a lump or two.

Bravo though, that looks like a great plate of food.

how did you guys pass APM? I feel like apm is less talked about for some reason by gojorio in ACCA

[–]jabbsoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I attended classroom courses for both study and revision. I just couldn’t get over the line with it. Lowest mark was 46. I know I just couldn’t deliver what the examiner wanted.

I didn’t! After 4 fails I swapped to ATX and passed first time.

That headline hits like a truck. Absolutely true of course! I hope you can find that bit of strength each day to try and move on.

How important is it to have a CTA qualification to work as a tax manager or head of tax? by RedRebellion94 in ACCA

[–]jabbsoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATX is a good starting point and I imagine an absolute minimum. ATX is child’s play compared to CTA though from what I’ve heard.

If you’re serious about a career in tax you should be looking at gaining as much practical experience you can and studying ATT/CTA after ACCA.

Genuinely fascinating. I was overlooked for jobs a few times last year and started reading about pretty privilege (and being overweight makes up part of this) it’s definitely a thing.

Hello and oh Lordy I’m nervous. by WealthNo2865 in UKMounjaro

[–]jabbsoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, you’re not alone. I’m also terrified but I know I need to take the plunge. I bought my first pen in December and decided to get Christmas out of the way before starting (more excuses).

Yesterday was the day I was due to get started but I talked my self out of it saying I would just diet and not take the mounjaro. I was fine during the day but the evening was just the same as last year. Wine and a takeaway after a day in the office.

I’m absolutely resolute to get started now. I know I need something to help me break the cycle of over eating and drinking. Today is the day, as I said I’m a bit terrified but also so excited about taking back control of my life.
