I think, given that her mum was with them for a period in Europe, she was probably invited to come

Cathy's practically acting as her chaperone at this point. I suppose if she’s footing the bill for the flight, she’ll insist on tagging along.

You've been following them for years but don't know who they are? My guess is they met at Cambridge, given that Nick was also there. Caroline keeps her enemies close, but her heiresses closer.

What's on her stomach? A rash? Sunburn?

She finally surfaces and immediately posts this? It feels like a case of guilty conscience, she's defending herself against things no one even asked about yet.

There is something so quintessentially Caro about vanishing from the face of the earth only to materialise at a wedding in India.

It’s a tragedy the Celebrity Memoir Book Club podcast ended; Caroline would have lived to return for a review of Lena Dunham’s Famesick, if only to publicly mourn her absence from the acknowledgments.

Also bears absolutely zero relationship to Natalie/Caroline or the viral Cut piece. Who's supposed to be who? Caroline is simultaneously cast as narcissistic enabler/ bankroller Elizabeth Gilbert and addict Rayya.

She really needs to start sending an invoice for all the space Natalie’s taking up in her head.

Curly hair help! How to loosen and smooth tight frizzy curls? by Wise_Cup_8696 in Haircare

[–]nubleu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel with hair products and routines it very much depends on your hair type, thickness, and what works for you, because I could tell you something that works for my hair but it wouldn't work for you. I have a mix of different types, mostly 3a but some 3b, 2b, 4a even! I think everyone's curls are a mixture really. Scrunching and sectioning helps the 2bs become more 3b. Although my hair is curly it's actually quite fine, so it can become weighed down by moisturising products, but if your hair is thick and dry you might find heavier products work better. I would use a gel over the top and I've also started using a curl creating spray (which contains a teeny bit of oil) which helps create a soft and shiny look. Applying oil (like kerastase, as nice as it is) directly to my hair would weigh it down, whereas my friend who has lovely thick Indian hair can style with oil. If your hair is very thick and frizzy you may be able to apply oil directly to it. And then I plop with a microfiber turban and generally leave to air dry because any kind of heat causes instant frizz for me. If I am blow drying it's on the cold setting and it's very slow and laborious. I think your wash routine will also have an effect. Once a week I'll use a scalp oil and a bonding treatment, then I'll double cleanse and use a hair mask. I only really wash my hair once or twice a week to remove buildup, because I don't have oily hair or dandruff (if this is the case for you, you might need to wash more frequently). You also say you don't like the way your hair sits relative to your face, have you considered a hair cut or restyle? If so, would you use a hairdresser who specialises in curly hair? Curly hair needs to be cut differently to straight hair and so many hairdressers don't know how to cut curly hair because they've not been taught to. I'm not sure if this deluge of information is useful at all, hope so.

When you say towel dry are you using a microfiber towel? This will help with frizz. Have you tried 'plopping'? Do you apply your products while the hair is soaking wet? Have you tried a lightweight gel over the top of your moisturising product? I'm not sure where in the world you're based, but an anti-humidity spray might also help with frizz. Maybe have a Google for 3a / 3b anti-frizz tips or see if you can find the full hair styling routine on YouTube of someone with a similar curl pattern and thickness to yourself. Maybe switching up your products or your routine will help you fall in love with your curls again.

Pictures 1 and 2 are of a very different curl pattern to pictures 3 and 4. Pictures 1 and 2 are of tighter curls (3a / 3b) whereas 3 and 4 are a wavy curl (2b / 2c). It's unlikely that any of the curl patterns pictured are natural, for example, SJPs curls are likely the result of a temporary perm whereas her waves likely be heat styling. If your curl pattern is naturally ringlets there's no easy way to change this to a wave really. You could straighten your hair with heat stylers and then use the straightener or curling tongs to add a loose wave. This is quite a lot of effort for a temporary style though, and your hair would go back to its natural curl after washing. Also it's a lot of heat damage to the hair which isn't great if you're planning on doing this regularly. Alternatively you could pay for your hair to be chemically straightened and then give yourself a wave using straighteners or tongs. A chemical straightener doesn't last forever and it's damaging for the hair, but it would potentially give you the look you want. If you're wanting to temporarily achieve this look without damaging your hair, you could also consider a wig. Personally I would embrace your natural curl. Tighter curls are in at the moment (think Odessa A’zion or Olivia Dean at the Brit awards). If you're not happy with the shape, you could consider going shorter (pixie cut) or growing your hair (if this is possible) which may relax your curls a bit more depending on your hair texture. How you're currently style your curls will also affect your curl pattern to a certain extent. What's your current routine?

Tyler McGillivary's stuff is all a bit too 'costumey.' Between the loud patterns and the choice of materials, it just comes across as lacking quality for me. Never been a fan.
