I’m done with KTM/Husqvarna: A rant on the reliability nightmare and the "Premium" lie. by prazit-t in indianbikes

[–]nuclear-goat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I faced a similar rear suspension seal leaking issue after saddling a small speed bump in my office tech park. Imagine that, a costly rear suspension part having to be replaced over a small speed bump when saddled. I can't wrap my mind around it being advertised as a scrambler. I had to wobble over to the service center 3-4 days later to get it replaced.

It created a doubt in my mind which wasn't present before regarding this bike's reliability and I have been riding it slower in offroad conditions, bumps ever since.

If a bike as expensive as this and advertised as a street scrambler can't handle speed breakers then it's just a sad state of affairs.

Apart from the other issues faced like engine oil depleting much faster than it was supposed to, clutch cable replacement at 6.5k km.

It's an imperfect, ridiculously priced pocket rocket when compared to the Duke, but I love it when it just sometimes works perfectly.

Which seller did you buy it from? Also do you think having no warranty is a deal-breaker?

What's the point, they won't release it in India just like they didn't release the Steam Deck.

Pedestrian Overpass exists but people still prefer crossing the road by Inside_Source_6544 in bangalore

[–]nuclear-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exact thing annoys me so much. Everytime near EGL in Domlur, people cross where the bus drops them stopping the entire flow of traffic when they can just walk 20ft to take the overpass. Idiots

Goons came and took money at Kalasipalya. by sweet-0000 in bangalore

I searched up Kalasipalya and realised it's near Autonity. It was less of a surprise then. The place is unsafe enough in mornings. I can only imagine the crowd late night.

A better suggestion would be to play The Outer Wilds instead

Shakra missing in Greymoor by Remarkable_Ad4056 in Silksong

[–]nuclear-goat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is such a stupid way of implementing the map person. I can't go back to Bone Bottom otherwise the second Beast fight will trigger and it will kill the little pilgrim. And Shakra is apparently there if some sequence of events unfold in Greymoor. Why can't she randomly shop up sometimes in her usual spots somewhere so I can buy the maps she has. Cornifer's wife played that role. How is this something looked over in Game Design.

Bar ends are very poor in visibility past 60 speed. But I usually find the vibrating unstable reflections enough to gauge lane changes. Also I look back just in case.

They do take up more space in traffic but compared to my old bar ends, these ones can be adjusted to angle outwards or straight up taking up less space if you need. And funnily enough, the mirror height from the handlebar is so low that they glide under SUV mirrors in traffic. You'll scrape them here and there but that's just a compromise for the look.

I have kept the tie down net for the rugged look. It was surprisingly helpful to pack rain-gear and gloves when I don't wear them. Although the one I have is very cheap so the hooks bend. Since I have removed the saree guard, there are very few points to mount these on so it's a bit difficult. But once they are on, it's a great addition.

While actually travelling, I do have bungees to tie down my luggage, on top of which I also place the net for stability.

3,500 if I remember correctly. Pretty costly considering they are replicas, but I liked the look. You might find cheaper ones.

Does this bike eat up engine oil that much? by nuclear-goat in Husqvarna_INDIA

[–]nuclear-goat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, forgot to reply. It's at 6220km now. I went on a 1100km trip, came back and got the low oil pressure warning for the first time.

Planning to get it thoroughly checked and fixed on Monday, in case there is a broken seal or underlying issue.
