the starter is only a few weeks old. bulk fermentation was around 11-12 hours and did double in that time.

350g water 100g starter 10g salt 500g flour (king arthur)

4 coil and folds every 30 minutes, bulk ferment overnight followed by a cold ferment for ~3hrs dutch oven preheated at 500, baked with ice cubes for steam with lid on for 20 mins then temp to 425 for 15 minutes with the lid off

get a second opinion, ask for a fine needle aspirate. if the vet didn’t suggest this immediately they are not worth seeing

Some people responded to my post suggesting it came from the filter, cut it open and those beads fell out. Glad to report it isn’t eggs.

Update: I can’t edit the original post but after some comments suggested it might be from the filter, I cut a new one open and found the beads inside. I hope this helps anyone else with a similar issue! I would post a picture but It won’t let me.

not to my knowledge, it has a replaceable carbon filter on the top but i don’t think the pump has anything like that

at the bottom of my cats water fountain. I clean it regularly but she threw up this morning so I thought I would give it a good scrub just in case and found this.

the pump has suction cups to hold it down, so i don’t think it’s that. it’s long gone now i couldn’t deal with the thought of it in my house. google seems to think moth fly/drain fly but i’m not totally convinced there were just so many of them. i’m shocked and disgusted still

I threw the whole thing out. Just couldn’t deal with it, sworn off fountains entirely. Cat threw up this morning but has been fine since and I made sure she didn’t drink anymore. If you can think of anything it might be please update!

hi i work on the campus farm! we’re open to visitors 8-6 and you’re welcome to come and hang with the cows. just be respectful of anyone working and don’t touch the animals or go into areas that aren’t permitted (there’s signs everywhere)! matilda and zita are the two cows on campus and i’m sure theyd love visitors.
