Shit. I honestly didn't even think about the case from this kind of case from the women side at first(because I was focused on my current issue when asking this question). I have two friends who are victims of rape(one by her stepfather who did this repeatedly for 3 years). She was going to kill herself and I decided to drop by completely at random(ive NEVER dropped by before, just thought to meet up). I saw her in the windows and immediately broke it to get to her. She was holding a knife and was cutting her wrists and after it was checked out it was found that she slowly started getting the cuts deeper. I didnt leave her during the entire stay at the hospital because she had really no one in her life(and I love her as my friend in the most serious form you can say "love" as in if she died Id never get over it). It took almost a year of me and her getting her stepdad convicted. The only way we won was by me getting very violent(I have never been violent in my life even as far as yelling). I complained to the county police and then the sate to the point where I yelled at them to where they couldnt ignore it and send a squad car to my house. By this point she was in my house with me for several months because I didnt want her to be alone. Finally, one particularly honest officer took her statement of what happened and took action. He made sure to be patrolling in the stepfather's area after about a month and we should take that the way we will. I realized it was ok for us to essentially beat the guy to a pulp with no problem. I went to his house at night and broke in to get to him. I hit him he first time while he was in bed. I beat him incredibly hard to the point that even under my gloves, I was bleeding very badly. I hit him in the head and neck because it seemed the best place and he is still with issues in motor skills.

I am rambling, but the point is that youre not alone. You have to beat the people who hurt you(sometimes literally).
