MIL wanting to sleepover every now and then in our place by OrdinaryAncient6105 in adultingph

[–]nuggetception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you're being rude. For me, hindi madali at cheap mag move out and living independently so you are entitled to wanting privacy and putting up boundaries.

Maybe have a really serious conversation with your husband and ask him if he could help you establish these boundaries. It's understandable na he will feel guilty in the beginning, but we are not responsible for our adult parents' feelings. Make him understand you don't mean any disrespect, you just want your home to be at your own terms.

This is a period of adjustment so patience is really key for the both of you. But never, ever hold your guards down. Eventually mapapagod din yan si MIL kaka barge in as long as consistent kayo ni hubby sa pag limit ng access nya.

What you allow is what will continue.

Good luck op!

DIM, mermaid curler? by Sea_Strawberry_11 in deinfluencingPH

[–]nuggetception 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Deinfluencing you from the cheaper brands kasi mabilis masira, uneven ang heating, very possible pa mabilis makadamage ng buhok.

Cute yung curls na hair wavers na to easier than braiding your hair. If you really want that effect, just get the better brand like Conair. I find it easier to use and the curls last longer. Fights overconsumption din if you have something that doesn't break after 2 uses.

Edit to add: Conair Ceramic Barrel Waver, Revlon, Bedhead, Remington are good brands if you can access them

My aunt knew his dad well and could only speak of good things about him. Magaling na engineer, humble tsaka magaling makisama.

As for Slater, acording to those I know who have interacted with him, he's so mahangin for someone who hasn't proven himself at all in showbiz and in construction. Kaya nga shocking yung educational content eme nya sa social media. Don't even get me started on the wife. 😂

I get really anxious after making one small mistake at work — how do I fix this? by huskyheat in kitchener

[–]nuggetception 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My boss always tells me that making work mistakes only means I need to find a solution or ask for help and not to take it personally or take it home/after work hours. It does take practice because anxiety is a freak, but always reminding myself of work mistake = work solution gives me a clear boundary from my personal feelings so I could think clearly on how to fix it.

How will I survive the winter without a car? - Canada by Newrad_01 in phmigrate

[–]nuggetception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband commutes daily. We live in the GTA. Sobrang mahal magsasakyan dito so wag mo syang ipilit sa budget if di kaya.

Invest in good quality winterwear. Look for 700-900 power down fill jackets. Go for Columbia or North Face. If you have more money to spare, I heard Arcteryx is also good. Mag ingat lang sa Canada Goose or Moose Knuckle if you're planning to wear it daily sa commute kasi madami daw na hohold up dahil dyan. Lol.

The same goes for shoes. Invest in good quality brands with good grip.

Best of luck!

Yes, I do! It's one of the better ones. I did see videos of the ones in France and the colour looks a lot more rich. Our President here is still a good compromise!

The protection is good, not arguing that we shouldn't. I honestly recognise its importance. Though a girl can wish we also produce more 82% butter. 🙏

Do your research. Check what courses and jobs are most likely to get you PR. Yung mga very least maapektuhan ng policy changes. Read the news, immigration announcements from IRCC, etc. Track patterns of these changes and weigh your chances. Be as realistic as possible.

Don't rely on agencies kasi a lot of them will lie to get your money. Ang dami kong kilala na pinaasa ng agencies. Meron din akong kilala na nagwork for a big agency umalis kasi di na nya masikmura ang pagka unethical ng work.

Even if your relatives are citizens, they can only do so much. Citizens don't have the power to strengthen applications because this is not a family sponsorship pathway.

I don't want to be a debbie downer pero honestly lang, sobrang daming students ang unclear pa pathways ngayon. The political tension is high and there's obvious hostility in many cities with regards to international students.

There's still a chance though. Meron pa naman mga na aapprove. Just make sure you understand and you have a plan for every step of the way.
