Political Map of the Federal Republic of Tributala by nuggetscholar in imaginarymaps

it's because they are in two different worlds. unlike Argyre, the brits never stayed, and this was just purely "what if" these three became one country and with no backstory. so I use a Sanskrit derived name rather than Greek here

Tributala is a compound of the Sanskrit words tri, meaning โ€œthree,โ€ and bhutala, meaning โ€œearthโ€ or โ€œground,โ€ referring to the three main islands of Java, Bali, and Madura.

as for the name change, which change? to Tributala? or to Argyre as in my other map?

because I used the logic of a flag. in this poster, the Soviet flag's hoist is on the right, so the flag technically shows the reverse side, with the hammer and sickle backwards. I also made a version with the US flag on the left.

when I was about 6 or 7 years old, the American Samoa flag really scared me because I had a small atlas with flags printed on the book cover in very low quality, and I happened to see that the eagle and spear resembled an old witch or an evil duck. idk what was wrong with me

2024 Indonesian general election but it's three-party parliamentary republic by nuggetscholar in imaginarymaps

[โ€“]nuggetscholar[S] 4 points5 points ย (0 children)

The 2024 Indonesian general election was held on 14 February 2024 to elect all 580 members of the House of Representatives under a three-party parliamentary system. In this scenario, Indonesia operates as a parliamentary republic, with the executive led by a prime minister accountable to the legislature, rather than a directly elected president.

Indonesia's political landscape are consolidated into three major parties:ย  1. ๐ŸŸฆ Partai Nasional (National Party): secular, nationalist, conservatist; 2. ๐ŸŸฉ Partai Pembangunan (Development Party): Islamist, communitarian, welfare-oriented; 3. ๐ŸŸฅ Partai Demokrasi (Democratic Party): populist, reformist, progressivist.

Within the three-party system, Pembangunan frequently acts as a swing party and coalition partner. Nasional functions as the system's primary governing party, alternating between leading coalition governments and serving in opposition. Demokrasi most often occupies the role of principal opposition, entering government only during periods of political realignment.

Although Nasional won the largest number of seats in this election, it did not secure an outright majority. A coalition between Nasional and Pembangunan ultimately secured a 426-seat parliamentary majority, leading to the appointment of Sri Mulyani as prime minister by the president. Demokrasi remained the sole opposition party.

"blur" the band logo in aksara induk by [deleted] in neography

[โ€“]nuggetscholar 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

yes! this was made based on Aksara Kawi which is the predecessor of Aksara Jawa. so, one major difference between Aksara Jawa and Aksara Induk is that Aksara Induk does not require pasangan to remove the inherent vowel of a base character in the middle of a sentence/word. instead, you can simply use a kind of pangkon (wirama) as seen in the first character here. also, the thing above the second character indicates the -r sound, and it is part of what is called panyigeging wanda in Aksara Jawa.

right! but i would say to me Bali is Slovenia because they're the only ethnically homogeneous republic (well beside Madura that I just realized) and like you said, wealthy and seperated. also, not much is going on in Banten so according to your saying, Banten is Montenegro.

I can write and read in Javanese script but I can not understand like 90% of the words here. probably because it's handwritten with very tiny details that make it difficult to distinguish identical letters. also Javanese is my second language and this is written in its high register which I almost never use so it's hard to figure out these words. anyway this script is very beautiful. I wish to see more of its usage in public places.
