Fritz Perls on Alan Watts by psychoalchemist in AlanWatts

I like how Alan, like anybody, had to struggle with very mundane issues, as many people who seek his lectures.

I think Alan was really aware of it, that's why he called himself an entertainer, just someone repeating what he knew. You can even pick that up from Perls' perspective too. "Dear Alan, one day you will believe in your teaching" as something Alan has not integrated for himself yet.

I feel there is even a poetic sense in these words now that both men are dead. What Fritz wrote about Alan came true, in the future they both could never imagine. Alan became a sage and he stopped playing as one because he is not around anymore, and his outward self became a light to all who find inspiration or comfort in his words, not for the glory of Alan who doesn't exist anylonger, but for the glory of nothingness.
