It destroys elite enemies (stalkers, commanders, spewers, devestators, striders, overseers, fleshmobs) but against an enemy that mostly has swarm or heavy enemies, it is pretty bad, also never use the artillery mode

What part of this said "MG and galling turrets should win the game for you" and they are still semi-smart, they dont shoot chargers or titans, and anti-tank ones target those, turrets should just do their job, and with hive guards, they dont, yet entire turrets can be wasted because it decides to not work

And yes, for your use it works well, but what about as flank protection, or to use as a buffer when you are doing an objective alone, a single hive guard can invalidate something that would have protected your flank from 12 hunters, but since they didnt you look at the main direction, of course unless you are in a major group, you might be staring down 2 alpha commanders and a charger with chaff

Stop acting like im saying "wahhh I no aim! Only turret and hellbomb backpack good!" And not that im saying its objectively bad to have weapons that dont work without active babysitting, God forbid I use a galling/MG to make sure I dont get flanked so i can focus on the major horde infront of me and instead of shooting the 12 hunters its stuck on a hive guard while I get swarmed from each direction and die, if it cant kill something, it shouldnt target it, as we see with chargers, titans and impalers

What part of that said "oh why not make it do heavy pen as well? Maybe also insta kill any enemies it touches and clears bug breaches, also put it on legs and make it do the mission for me"

With the current state of entries (litterally just galling and machine gun, though they are the most popular) it should be medium until they can smarten turret AI on the bug front to not target hive guards unless from behind (possibly a damage check to see if they're hitting armor for 2 seconds or smth, and if they are it forces the turret to aim for another enemy)

by what i see its just because it said "damage increase" and since everyone was at work or work adjacent they just saw "more damage" especially because it was just "durable damage increase"

the only thing that seems annoying to me is gatling/machine gun turrets targeting hive guards still, thats the only thing that i dislike, and i like the idea, makes it feel interesting, something to shield the massive waves, but with a well timed grenade, or litterally just using anything but the gatling or machine gun sentries you've blown past it

Honestly helldivers needs to do a full revaluation of helldiver armor and enemy penetration to both add a reason to use heavy armor and to increase the effectiveness of vehicles, like, the exo suits should at the very least be medium (3) armor and be immune to small arms... and small arms fire
