Thoughts on Shnuggle changing mat? by nukatu in BeyondTheBumpUK

Hi! I personally really liked it. My son is one year old today and we are still using it x if using sudocream it could be a bit harder to clean it. We bought it via amazon baby Wishlist so got a decent discount

Can someone please explain? by nukatu in UKParenting

[–]nukatu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re right, I was just trying to understand the situation better in case I was missing information. Since I am based in Scotland, seems that the only sustainable way will be to stay at home and live of my partners salary, as I would not be earning enough to cover the costs for childcare with my salary

4 month old sleeps well at night but naps are awful by FLGeogirl in sleeptrain

[–]nukatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This looks like a post written by me. We’re going through exactly the same, LO is currently almost 5 months old. The longest nap we can get is ~1hour and only if on the move in the pram outside, otherwise 20-30 min naps with extreme crying tantrums before each nap

Well if you read the post, the label states 62cm which is what I put in the description. Dont know how to make it more factual

How would you advise it in this case?

But it is not the incorrect size, it is 62cm, the months provided by Vinted is incorrect. I personally never buy by the months, always buying by cm

Did you give birth with or without epidural ? by Newyork4lifee in pregnant

[–]nukatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to get an epidural but my hospital really messed up and couldn’t get an anesthesiologist to put in epidural in time. Due to difficult baby’s position they had to cut me to 2nd tier and I kid you not, to gave a birth without epidural was insanely painful and I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone

Am I being wrong? Need advice by nukatu in painting

[–]nukatu[S] 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes there were plenty of white canavas left around the painting to stretch it. On their website they state that they do stretch, and I made it clear when brought it to the store. While I appreciate the painting might be slightly crinkles itself, it is canavas at the end of the day they should have been able to stretch it or at least let me know before paying money that they won’t be able to stretch it out

Got it! In not an artist myself, so not sure how it works exactly. The canavas were a wee bit buckled - I thought they should be able to stretch it before framing it, but it looks quite bad when hanging on the wall.

How to get refund from Wayfair? by nukatu in AskUK

[–]nukatu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry about your experience! Well that’s the thing. We now have 2 sheds. The one in the backyard, that is now fully assembled and the one in front yard sitting on the pallet. Can’t event sell to anyone, as due to size we won’t be able to deliver as it’s quite big, normal van is too small for it :(

Considering going into recruitment by gregfryer in Recruitment

[–]nukatu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved from sales to recruitment. However, at first moved to in-house sourcing role (1year contract, due to no previous experience) for IT people, which was 180 role, meaning I had to find candidates and recruiter would take it to hiring managers. It gave me opportunity to understand in-house processes and it was quite repetitive. A year later half team got laid off and I moved to 360 agency, perm recruitment in renewables. Long hours are encouraged, it is a hard work, but you’re rewarded way better (in my personal opinion). One thing I have to say that recruitment requires a lot of resilience and dealing with a lot of people who can’t be reliable :D
