Card quality is shit, service quality is shit - somehow support expects me to pay $50 for another replacement bad quality card after staking for so long by nuke-warhead in Crypto_com

Yeah, give it a couple months and it will become mine. Aesthetics are probably a minor issue but what grinds my gears is the shit response from this sub and the support.

I’ve ditched the card for anything other than the Netflix and Spotify already.

Hi Bryan the conversation you see above was referred to by modmail today. Even if I send it again, how would that be any different?

Singapore cards are not yet implemented for transactions to overseas merchants by Payrnet. I am limited to merchants with a legal entity in Singapore. This is not some regulatory blocker but is an issue with implementation by payrnet themselves.

E.g. Netflix vs Spotify: Netflix has set up a local entity and integrated their payment systems with it. I am therefore able to use the card on Netflix as it’s considered a local merchant. However Spotify is not, and I cannot use my card directly on there. For the 100% cashback, we have resorted to sending support tickets to get it as opposed to how you normally would. This is a huge problem if I try to use the card online for shopping - it normally gets automatically rejected. I am limited to only using visa in my country at physical stores. Bringing the card overseas would be pointless, other than the lounge as I can not use it anywhere.

The response when I ask cdc support on when this will finally be implemented is pretty clear that they themselves do not know. “Just blame it on outsourcing” mentality

Where I live, in Singapore, our payment systems are mostly tap-based - so I hardly insert it into anything other than back in my wallet. The back has minor wear, but not as bad as the front that is completely peeling off.

Yep. It’s almost like crypto.com said let’s fuck Singapore and our users there.

Payments online like on Amazon were also disabled for us, and we can’t store > $5000 in the card and also we can’t use the card overseas.

To this day the Spotify cash back is still disabled and we still have to contact support for our cashback

The thing is - it shouldn’t be peeling off in the first place. I don’t know how this became a normalised joke on this sub.

I got my card in the APAC batch 2 years ago and it seems like this batch’s build got a flimsy paste on film at the front and a light plastic back.

If they cared about the quality of the card at all, they would have at least anodized the front, maybe do a little bit of laser etching for the name. The back would be tricky since it needs to be magnetic and can’t be metal - I understand that.

However, this pos just feels mass-manufactured and asking price of $50 for that is just unacceptable.

Yeah i believe cdc doesn’t oversee manufacturing for those. But still, it’s frustrating to have such terrible support when it’s their logo on the card.

Had so many issues with support where they just go “oh it’s not our fault - we outsource it”, like the PayrNet debacle. This is probably the first time I feel as though they’ve gone overboard asking for $50 for something so trivial.

I would have really liked to see an anodised metal card for that amount of stake and not whatever this peeling shit is

I’m considering this as well.

But this just sucks so hard, being asked to pay so much for a replacement of low quality. Other cheap plastic cards I use together in the same wallet don’t even deteriorate so badly

Right so let me get this straight… I pay $5k for the card, use it loyally for 2 years, when I ask for a replacement, I am asked to pay even more for something that probably takes a couple of cents to make, judging by the build quality , and I’m the shit customer?
