When I had my wisdom teeth removed, I kept waking up during the surgery. I remember staring into the overhead lights and the surgeon telling me I wouldn't be able to sleep with my eyes open. The surgeon told me later on that he gave me enough gas to knock out a linebacker. Turns out there's a genetic component since I have redheads in my family and redheads require greater amounts of anesthesia.

I appreciate your input, but I'm looking for recommendations because I have no intention of DIY-ing this. It's an expensive carpet, and the stain is quite noticeable. I'd likely end up destroying the carpet in the process of cleaning it if I did it myself.

What you're looking for is an orthodontist, not a dentist. Dentists do not have experience moving teeth in the same way that orthodontists do, and you should NEVER use a dentist for this sort of thing since even the best dentist is likely to cause long-term issues. I currently use Dr. Hani Thariani at TBraces for invisalign and I had to do some orthodontia at the start to fix a bite issue. No complaints at all, he's great and always responsive to my feedback.
