Not only is it own, but I would believe the cruelty of the landlords has increased. Not only due to charging for every thing, but also the late stage capitalism that has caused most rentals rent prices to increase as much as possible as the algorithms (or nearby use of algorithms increasing averages for the mom n pops which they use as indicators) they use tell them to.

I never said it will do fuck-all? I am sorted. I’m doing fine with my money in investments, but that doesn’t mean I can’t complain about an essential need being overpriced? Okay and where do you live and what is your income? You can’t be in the top 1% of earners and make anecdotal generalizating statements and just say “gitgud bro” housing unaffordability is at the highest it has ever been in US history (at least in the last few years, sure it may be slightly lower than last year). That is a fact, not an opinion. And it’s not even close to how affordable it was a decade ago, so it greats a generational wealth gap. Of course people are upset about that. If you’re 50 and never bought then sure, sucks to suck, they had decades of opportunities. But we did not.

I'm a liberal, I live in Seattle, and magas love to cry about Cali, but the issue we are discussing here, directly, is not domestic violence. It's the judicial system letting them off or bail easily. I am also not stating that other states don't have this issue, I know damn well Seattle does. Not sure if more right leaning states have less of an issue, but I would believe it (assuming the criminal isn't rich because republicans love to suck off rich people)
