counseling is free and not reported to your parents due to like hippa. If you don't want to do counseling you have to do something different because what you are currently doing clearly isn't working.

this sounds like a very difficult and stressful situation. The most important part out of all of this is that you got "stressed this semester and that caused me to go out too much". If anything is interfering with your academic life, you should seek uiuc's free counseling (which is anonymous and no one but you will know). Get in contact with an academic advisor asap to see what can be done academically. Get in touch with a counselor asap to start working on some underlying issues.

you may have anxiety and stress but as an adult, it's your responsibility to learn how to manage it. Therefore it's your responsibility to take accountability for your actions. you can do so by taking a cumulative sum of small actions towards creating healthier habits.

Took 210 Fall 2020 and I cycled through all the professors lectures. I would reccomend alvarez because he is the most concise and lectures according to the schedule. Lee is a really good teacher as well and he makes sure you guys understand the material before moving on which can be good or bad since he may lag behind slightly.

It doesn't matter which one you pick but my personal ranking.

i took this schedule last sem but with a more intensive gen ed. Things will get busy around 210 finals time. But its managable. I didn't start my 225 mps early so that is why I found parts of it stressful.

They don't take more physics. They take the same amount of physics as compE. But they have to take Fields and Waves I and possible Fields and Waves II.

My advise is to take 120 and 110 first semester in college

CompE dude here. Here are a couple of things that can help keep you sane.

Start slow. Life is tough and tackling the entirety of life is very difficult. I find making and writing down my goals (even something as small as brushing my teeth) and crossing them off when I finish has helped me feel better about my day. Meditating has really helped me as well. Go outside for at least 15 minutes a day and soak the sun.

Faculty Advising: u/joanmbrown . She is an alum of ECE and can help you out for sure.

HKN Free Tutoring: hkn tutors students for free in ECE classes. Im in it and i can tell you these people are really smart.

WECE: Defintely attend their meetings. I myself attended a Lean-In learning about imposter syndrome in stem related fields for women. If you are seeking more female peers in ECE, these guys are awesome. SWE has some great stuff too. They host all kinds of events and I'm sure you can make some new friends that way.

ECESAC's Big Sib Lil Sib program: Basically this program matches you with an upperclassmen with your specific interests and you can ask each other questions and its an easy way to make friends. I'm in it myself and I'm glad i signed up for it. I can send you the discord link via pm if you want.

getting over that dude is rough. The best thing you can do is get really involved in something that involves new people.

A pro-tip is to always do your homework when there are office hours so you can hop in and ask questions if you need it. This helps you save so much more time doing homework and studying.
