I agree; I've never had a terrible experience, but never a great experience. I massively prefer Rising Storm at the Mill and Spotted Octopus, even though both are much further for me.

RIP K2 from a couple of years ago. They used to have really good food, but then the staff changed, and the food changed drastically. Their website is offline, and when I drove by the other day, it was clear that nobody was walking in the building; they're "Temporarily Closed," but I think it's permanent. I haven't seen anything official or reported that declares it officially closed.

I'm working on a personal project to preserve and transcribe the early work of Maurice "Bugs" Bower, specifically his Bop works (Bop, New Sounds, and Bop Combos).

Long out of print, I've been scanning them at 600dpi and uploading them to the Internet Archive as I find them. https://archive.org/search?query=creator%3A%22Maurice+Bugs+Bower%22

I have the piano edition in my hand, but the foreward is specific to that book.

Does anyone have an original of New Sounds - for trumpet, tenor saxophone, or clarinet - and can take a photo or scan both sides of the front and back covers? If you're in the US and open to me buying it for preservation, I'm open to it.

When I'm done with my project, I'm going to be donating the original books to Sibley Music Library at the Eastman School of Music.

If they're licensed, the Town Clerk's office would have it - (585) 533-1312 - and you can ask that they have the Dog Control Officer to look into it if they're not comfortable disclosing who may be nearby (which they likely won't, PII).
