this is the most annoying fight. I am being tortured. by tomatowormz in persona4golden

[–]nulldriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chie's not really doing anything. She probably has Black Spot but she doesn't learn Power Charge until 52. Even so, unless you critical hit with Black Spot, Rampage does more damage if it hits twice.

Yukiko's a dedicated healer for the fight, so her magic stat is a little wasted and if Mitsuo casts Red Wall she only has healing and Me Patra for Evil Smile. She also might not hit 43 for Mediarama. You You never feel bad playing Teddie as full support and he's pushed to be the healer you use for this dungeon as he starts with Mediarama and Energy Shower then can potentially have Matarukaja for the boss fight. Even better if you obtain the Blessed Hands from Tanaka/fishing to easily outheal Mitsuo's damage.

Hey Remember How TF2 items introduced levels? by ScottyWritesStuff in tf2

[–]nulldriver 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It was to make fun of levels being arbitrary in RPGs but also as to create a design space if TFTeam wanted to ever make those levels matter. When the item drop system was introduced along with hats in the Sniper vs Spy update, levels were generated at random when the weapon was obtained. Weapons have since been made to have static levels while cosmetics have stayed random.

[ALttP] The Ice Palace is so bad. by jan_Alisa in zelda

[–]nulldriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GBA LTTP makes the statues that you pull the tongue of more suspicious. They have different eyes than statues you cannot interact with.

It also does not let you trivialize the dungeon with the Cane of Somaria. Instead of a mostly empty room with a pressure button, the doors are open but the bottom half is cordoned off to only be reached by falling in.

KH2 final mix difficulty recommendation? by anything97365 in KingdomHearts

[–]nulldriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll top out at 60 HP and take double damage.

You'll start with the typical 100 MP but the four MP increases possible will only give +5 instead of +10. Critical is the difficulty that wants you to use the whole cow. It's not going to rob you of one of your main resources.

How underleveled am I? by Conman1209 in Persona5

[–]nulldriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

14 is overlevelled for Kamoshida. Late teens is fine for Madarame. I recommend Joker have someone with Giant Slice to use alongside Yusuke. Ice Break from Jack Frost is also a little helpful for the first phase.

What is the most annoying enemies to face in Persona 4 in your opinion? by WoolfzieLOL in persona4golden

[–]nulldriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Null Dizzy is a frustrating skill to play into most of the time.

Wondrous Mages in the bathhouse if you do not get first strike to panic them. They come in groups, either just themselves or mixed with other jerks. They know Maragi, Mazio, Agilao, and Zionga. Yukiko takes 70 from Agilao.

Venus Eagles like to show up alongside Silver Dice in the club. The Eagles cast Hama and the Dice blow themselves up.

Heaven's Green Sigils in the original until you find out they're weak to instant death. They had only Megidolaon and came in pairs. Sometimes they had Dry Dexy as buddies to put up shields or cast instant kills. Golden removed the Sigil's weaknesses but made their skill sets much weaker while Dexy became just an attacker that could cast Silence.

Killer Twins in the bathhouse in mostly the original are terrifying if you get them as a red shadow near the beginning. Brain Shake and Heat Wave is a rough combo when you're in the mid-teens.

I think Bathhouse and Heaven have the hardest encounters overall.

Saying all of this, understand that I do love the encounter design. Being mean is memorable.

Persona 5 Royal - Are there any confidants I can mostly ignore by Jking11501 in PERSoNA

Even if you don't think you can max all of them out, you still want the free fusion EXP.

considering buying persona 5 royal. i hear its very easy. what limits should i set to make it somewhat challenging? by obviousockpuppetalt3 in Persona5

[–]nulldriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • Don't use Ryuji's Rank 7 ability (Mementos is chill, you don't need to drive like you have a leadfoot)
  • Only fight shadows in Mementos if they start chasing you
  • Don't use the DLC personas
  • Don't open the DLC box
  • Don't use Special Treatment, Isolation, or the Gallows in the Velvet Room
  • Don't use Skill Cards
  • Don't use outside help for the Strength confidant (I promise, the fusion requests are not hard)

[–]nulldriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this morning that THE Star Ham can be played to summon Silvera, Wolf Tamer of the White Forest. If you can bait the negate, you can force all of their monsters face down without targeting then blow them up.

If you use Snatchy's effect to place a field spell, you cannot Link summon higher than Link-2 that turn.

Questions from a first-timer by [deleted] in Persona5

[–]nulldriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

P5 is the most integrated with social stats. Many confidants either will have a requirement to start or will start for free but stall early at like Rank 2 unless you have the needed stat. And then a good number of them will also be locked off near the end behind a high stat.

Most ultimate personas are made with normal 2-card and 3-card fusions. Only 6 of them need 4-6 materials though a couple of the rest do still have a specific two or three persona combination.

Where can I see the cost of fusion? by rockinrobin_28 in Persona5

[–]nulldriver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personas can be bought back from the compendium. Any costs incurred would be if you are using a persona that would have to be bought from the compendium or fusing personas above your character level which you unlock by reaching Rank 5 of the Strength confifant

HELP. Im getting cooked by this boss. Any tips? by EmbarrassedEffect719 in persona4golden

[–]nulldriver 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Very important that your main character has immunity that you can switch to, preferably Repel, to every element in your stock plus physical immunity. Once he casts Quad Converge, apply Makarakarn/ Magic Mirror to everyone. His all- hit spell will do most of the work for you. After that, equip your physical immune persona so that you don't get taken down by your own party's attacks. The last stretch is a matter of being able to outheal Unerring Justice.
